Tell me about it :crying:

My hubby really needs me right now, but I can't be there thanks to some lazy frenchies :crying:

Grrr! I hope everything shapes up fine on his end and you get that ol' P4 very soon (this week, darnit!!)

Yeay!!!!!!!! Such good news, congratulations. And I totally understand about not wanting to wait a day more :) Did they tell him when he can expect to get the visa?

They were pretty guarded about telling him when, I guess (as is to be expected) but he seems confident that he'll get it by the weekend, for reasons that aren't entirely clear to me (we could only talk for a few moments after the interview, since he doesn't have his phone card and we had to cell it up for $1.59/min). I suggested we wait before he buys the ticket, though, just to play it safe. We haven't hit any huge bumps yet (knock on wood!) and I don't want this to be the thing that causes one...

Megan, dear, Conratulations!!!

I say go ahead and buy that ticket. The fee to exchange the flight is negligible compared to what the ticket prices will be like if you (he) buy it couple of days before the flight.

I bought the tickets for 30th (interview next week) with $150 exchange fee. Because otherwise they will be twice the price I paid.

I'll be checking VJ from Ukraine next week and I hope to hear that your hubby-to-be has arrived safely and you are together.

Take care and best of luck to you :)

I really don't understand anything anymore

I sent back the P3 on March 17 by fast tracked mail with a receipt that comes back to me when the mail is delivered.

I tracked the mail on the internet, and it said they received it on March 22 (which is not fast at all <_<)

Not receiving the receipt 1 week later, I e-mailed the embassy on April 1 to ask them if they really received my P3.

They answered back on April 2, saying that they received it, and haven't sent back the receipt yet (which is weird, cos when they receive the mail, they have to sign it, and it's the post office that returns the receipt, not them)

And guess what I found today in the mail? the famous receipt, dated by April 2 .

So it's like, my P3 was lost somewhere under a desk, and when I e-mailed them, they looked for it, and found it  and they were like "Oh yeah, we received it loooooooonnnnnnnnnnggggg time ago, and it will be handled in due time"

I lost 10 days just like that. I wonder which is worst, France or the US, with their administrative paperwork

K1 Journey : Total length (from filing I-129F till Visa in hand) : 190 days (~6.3 month)

Megger & Ewan. You've got it. And you Mrs, are so deserving. You have been a rock, a cheer and a comfort for everyone else for the last 6 months. This is the good news of the day and I am so, so happy and relieved for you.

Mrs Naddy. Mr Naddy has worrying family situation, he needs his woman, and where are you? Still waiting for a consulate to process you, nearly a month after you sent packet 3 back. Me and you still in the same boat. London still not even logged our cases a month on.

I can't post on the UK interview forum no more due to the presence of a big cheese member, who brags about being personal friends with the UK CO's and who takes great pleasure in berating, humiliating and attacking anyone who dares express frustration, upset at the stresses of their own personal situation, or even humorous jibing about the London embassy for the long wait. S/he has already mockingly pointed out that I seem to think I am "entitled" to a visa (which I have never said), and took great pleasure in emphasizing that I am not and I am clearly not aware that it is in fact, a privilege. It's nice to know there will always be someone who enjoys kicking a dog when it's down.

I will be eternally grateful for the support, comraderie and all the laughs you good people on this forum have given me during these soul destroying 6 months. I love you all x

Thanks, Mrs. Dog! I'm pretty stoked, and all the nervous energy I had yesterday while waiting for the news means that every surface in the house is gleaming now :D Just waiting to welcome back the honey...

Ugh, I wish there was an ego-free forum on VJ! You know that when there are some D-bags around your regional forum, you can always come here and we'll hug you and give you all the cuddles and doggie treats your sweet darling self deserves.

I can't believe you guys are still waiting for news. This is freaking ridiculous! All my positive vibes are going toward the folks who are supposed to be scheduling your interviews and sending you mail!!

Hugs and support are yours, for sure!

grrrrrrr I hate those people. They must be related to you know who.

In every forum there should be a downer, otherwise, it wouldn't be fun.

Just ignore them. This is what you get when you try to cheat on us lol

We are here to cheer you up, and feel your pain cos we are living it.

Like my baby told me : "we are closer now to what we used to be 5 month ago, the wait is frustrating, but it's not the time to loose it, we are soooo close"

As for being eligible for a visa, all this visa bs shoudln't even exists. We are paying for other people's scams. Like you said, the K1 is a soul destroying process, and those who aren't affected, don't even deserve it, UK CO booty kisser or no.

And we love u toooooooooooooooooooooooo Mrs D.

seriously, why are some of the consulates that 'must' handle large volumes of cases, acting so erratic?

Paris and London are living in denial of packet 3s.

We hope they suddenly get into action and send your packet 4s and schedule your interviews.

Naddy,I think your man is very true,no way losing your cool now.The end is in sight sweety.

Megan!! I am still not over the happiness of your approval. So cool!

You are gonna start a AOS thread for us all, right? We need you and us to stick together no matter when we file for it.
