Mrs Megger! All fingers and paws are crossed in my kennel tonight for Ewan's interview!

H&A - Cairo can join the club with London and Paris for being at the bottom of the class. We're all still waiting and in some London cases, it's over 5 weeks and still cases not even logged according to NVC.

I read on another thread entitled "Bangkok embassy faster than a bullet train" this: P3 sent back and tracked online embassy received at 9am. At 10.30am the same morning, the embassy called the beneficiary asking them if they would like to attend an interview 2 days later! Imagine that!

:wow: Geez oh pete! Let's find out what they're feeding the Consulate workers in Bangkok and order up a few dozen boxes of it to bring to London, Paris and Cairo. This is getting pretty ridiculous and unconscionable. Ugh.

Thanks for the well wishes! I have to admit, I'm quickly losing whatever cool I may have possessed as the hour of judgment draws nigh... (edit: thank goodness for ice cream!!)

You're always a good laugh! Here is the thread, just so you know I didn't imagine it. It is unbelievable and I can't imagine Bangkok is any less busy than Cairo!

:D the US Embassy in Bangkok was excellent. Jum enjoyed her time there. The interviewer was super nice to her as was the staff. It is very efficient and everything was done via email and their website. Both P3 and P4 are on their website. Jum was already approved for her visa before she ever received P3 in the mail. I just wish others could be as efficient as Bangkok.

Oh we know you didn't imagine that 'cause we know you are a good Dog... But now I am even more concerned about the Cairo consular's snail pace after I found out that it is taking over a month to issue a visa to someone who had a successful K1 interview and has been asked to leave his passport with them. I know they don't give a visa on the spot but over 4 weeks to stamp that dogon thing on the passopor???? :bonk::bonk: Give me a break!!!

Actually it's more than just a stamp. At least in Bangkok, they add a page that looks like the picture page of your passport. The visa has your picture, name, DOB, validity, etc.

They asked him:

Phew! I'm so relieved! They should be printing and sending the visa shortly - we're hoping for a POE one week from today!!!
