This question is for those who are considering buying tickets in the very near future.

I read somewhere on vj that it is 'less' expensive to buy round trip tickets than one-way tickets,I mean,is that true?

And if at all that is,will that be a problem at the POE if they see somehow see that you have a return ticket?

I think this is not a problem, just wanted to know y'all's opinions.

I am getting very antsy waiting for that package that John sent me on the 18th of March, where is it.

I really hope it makes it here a little before time, please God.

Jum's one way ticket is cheaper than a roundtrip, but not by much. It's $1400 for roundtrip and $1200 for 1 way.

Will anyone at the POE know you have a roundtrip ticket?

Hi, I've read many, many times on VJ that it does not matter at all at POE whether your ticket is single or return.

Hi guys! Yesterday we were finally reunited!!!! It is such a great thing to finally be together, and start a normal life again. :) :)

Thank you for all your nice words, I am really rooting for all of you to be here (or have your loved one here) very soon!

We will probably have a quick wedding as soon as possible and have an unofficial ceremony a bit later. I would really hate to plan something in a rush, but the health care thing is an issue for me too, so we'll make it official fast. Plus I also want to file for AOS as soon as possible, so by the time y'all get there I'll be the resident expert :)

Anwesha - I came with a round trip ticket because it was a third (!) of the price of a a one way. At POE, they didn't even look at my ticket or ask about it. The officials in Vienna did, but I explained and they understood and wished me a happy life in the US. :)

On the customs form upon entering, I declared my personal stuff (clothes, electronics, etc), as they specifically ask about artifacts that will stay in the US. There was no problem with it, but the customs official did not seem to understand why I checked it. (I did just to make sure there will be no issues with it.) Then again, they were preoccupied with my handful of dogfood.

Honestly,I suddenly remembered towards the end of my Sunday in India, which was like mid-afternoon Sunday for you guys in the eastern coast of US,and thinking, isn't today the day when KisK meets her better half :)So glad it went well.Oh and I pm-ed you ,but I will also go ahead and ask the question here.

So my would be father-in-law,also our co-sponsor,sent me his I-134,which reached today.I was just cross-checking it and for Q11 he has ticked 'do no' intend.I am a sinking feeling about it.

What should be the correct response to this?I am also trying to look around,so sorry if it has been answered and I have not thoroughly investigated this yet.

Hugs!

I had the same problem - my fiance checked 'do not' intend and I was worried. But he did write an explanation in the given space that while he does not intend to make specific contributions, he will be generally supporting me as we will be living together as a married couple.

Hope this helps!
