Well, here it is! Thanks for your help! It would really mean a lot if I could get an answer on these!

I can't seem to get a clear and definite answer on these two, please enlight me!

A)

First, I am getting my birth certificate and my criminal background check translated by a retired translator. He signed, for both documents, a paper that state :" I, ___________________________, certify that this document is a translation from French to English, and that I have the skills required to do this translation. Signed on ______________ in Trois-Rivières, Qc, Canada". AND, I'm getting those two documents certified by a notary. Will this be ok with the consulate?

B)

Second, on a question in one of the forms to fill in for the P3 (sorry I have neither the form nor the question close by) they ask for the dates of any previous trips to the U.S. About 6 years ago, I went to Michigan twice for a short time in the span of 6 months. I drove there once and flew the other time and didn't have a passport since it was not required for Canadians at the time. I have ABSOLUTELY no idea of the exact dates I went there, and have ABSOLUTELY no proof or receipts. I can say it was around September-October the first time, and late December early January the second time. What do you suggest I write down? An attachment explaining my situation?

Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to answer! It would be a GREAT help if someone did!

It's been a while i didn't check this topic... Everybody got their NOA2 so far? Most people got their P3 and maybe sent it back?

Vero and Chris, i can try to answer your questions but i'm reallyyyy not sure of what it is in reality, just giving my opinion.

First question: The important is that the document is certified and notarized, i guess this will be ok!

Second question: I don't think you really have to go sooo precisly, there's a couple trips back in the days that i didn't include in it. I only included my 6 most recent trips i think... And i have a lot more than that.

Ohhh, and i see you're from Trois-Rivières? So i guess you speak french? If you have some questions you can ask me in french just by sending me a personnal message! (I'm in Sherbrooke right now) :P

AandB: thanks so much for the link... I'm a little freaked now though... Embossed, is that a seal that has texture sort of? (S'cuse my French) Can a notary do that? My translator is a retired one, so forget about seals with him!

And for everyone else: We got our hard copy of the NOA2 and it says it expires on July 19th. What does this mean? Does it mean that if I don't get my interview before that I'm screwed? There's a 4-6 months wait at the ambassy! I can't control that!!!

Ok, a little freaked now...

Hey, gratz on your NOA2

So now, what happens? well, here it goes lol :

1 - VSC sends the case to NVC. You should receive shortly your NOA2 hard copy (you have to send a copy of that to your fiance)

2 - NVC send you a letter telling you that they received your case, that they gave you a new case number, and that they will send your application shortly to the embassy

3 - It's been a wekk, so you should call the NVC to see when they send your application back.

4 - Go on the DHL site and track your application, to see if the embassy got it

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/246993-track-case-from-nvc-to-embassy/ (post #6)

5 - After this, it'll depend on the embassy if they send a P3 or no

:)

Hi Crissie,

We all totally get all that you msut be feeling now.It is not fair that Vermont just decides to skip some Nov applicaitons and not at all work in a fair order.Have you set up an account with them and checked the 'Last Updated date' field?

Of late,I have seen(and I myself am one of them) that USCIS did 'touch' the applications but never uodated the status on their site and people directly got their NOA2s in their mail.(the hardcopy).

So you should be on the look out.

And anyway,it should be anytime for you,we are all hoping for you :)

Called the NVC today and they confirmed they received the case on the 25th. She said it is an "expedited case"....and that it will be sent to consulate in Dublin as soon as its processed. She would not give me case number over the phone but said that our receipt number would link us to the case. Question....is everyones case "expedited" or could it be because I contacted my congressman and senator, one of which "finally" got back to be and I had to fill out forms for them to inquire about our case......?? anyone had experience with this?

Jum's interview is less than 24 hours away, and I am starting to go insane. The opinion of 1 person is all that matters right now.

Jum showed me the amount of evidence she is bringing, and it looks like about 3000 pieces of paper. It is so much paper she struggles to pick all of it up and it's less than 10% of what we could provide.

Her medical was great. She apparently meets all of the requirements. No need for additional vaccines.

I hope that on Monday I am purchasing plane tickets instead of sending more documents.

I'm sure it will go fine for her, but I've got my fingers crossed anyway. Don't be too nervous - all the tough stuff is over, and you just have to wait a few more hours for the phone call from your love saying "approved!"
