WOW. Were we separated at birth? I already have 2 dogs who are coming over with me. My USC has 2 dogs. We are also house hunting for a property with lots of land for them (and probably more from the shelters). I'm gonna end up with a bigger pack than Cesar Millan if someone doesn't put a stop me!

I'm starting to feel sorry for South Carolina, there is about to be an invasion of European women with large packs of dogs.

And yes, we are always on call for any hostages of VSC!

I just got back from seeing the movie Hachiko - based on the true story of the dog (an Akita) who waited patiently outside a train station for 10 years for his master to return. Imagine. At least the wait for the NOA2 isn't that long!

Drue want's to breed rotties, but it would need a lot of time and money. i guess we will do that after our kids would go to the university lol

Oh, I didn't see this movie. I don't like to go to the movie alone ><. I'll wait till I go to Paris and I'll go see it with my best-friend/bridesmaid if they show it in France

I know how you feel. The embassy in Bangkok received my case on March 15. Jum still has yet to receive her packet 3. However, I contacted the embassy today and they said it was mailed on March 16. So Jum will send everything tomorrow. The embassy told me that the interview will be scheduled 2-6 weeks after receiving the documents.

Poor little snail! I hope he and your packet get picked up by a quick-flying bird and dropped on your doorstep! On the bright side, I bet you're so well-versed in what you need to fill in and send back, you won't be wasting any time once it gets there :).

Yup! Packet 3 will keep Ewan off the streets for a couple of days! Waiting for our interview date is the last wait. The only wait after that is waiting at the airport.

Speaking of waiting at the airport....

Last time Ewan came to visit, his flight arrival was delayed from 3:30 am to 5 am (and it's a 1 hr drive from my parents' home) so by the time he got here, I was deliriously tired and thrilled to see him. I also had a new (used) car, which I wasn't 100% comfortable driving yet, and which, given all the delirious tired/happy, I promptly crashed into the wall of the parking garage (trying to avoid a giant oncoming Hummer). So beware, USC future spouses, and don't do that, okay? :D:bonk:

Thanks, that is so kind. I am a bit worried now though, as the embassy kindly issued me an interview date without my police certificate - which I said I would have on time. Of course, I have still not gotten it, even though the given time frame from the authorities is way past. If it's not in the post box tomorrow, I will have to reschedule :( :(

Woohoo!!! Packet 3 is in the post...should get to London tomorrow. Now we have another wait for interview date...but hopefully compared to dear USCIS will seem like nothing. Next stop - medical on April 7th. My doctor managed to pull ALL my medical records in the end (a brilliant note - 'Jessica seems to have a good layer of fat cover' - circa 1987!) and although could not find any documented evidence of my allergic reaction to the MMR vaccine still wrote my medical exemption letter, so I think I'm good to go :D
