My fiancé called them yesterday and they said they sent it off on March 5.

well, they send it by DHL, so there is a tracking number.

Try checking on the DHL site if the embassy got it, then call DHL and give them the tracking number, and make sure they got it.

Then call the embassy back, and tell them that DHL confirmed the delivery, so maybe they should search sone more.

To track it on DHL, go back some pages, and you will find out how to do it

Well,

Am extremely depressed because no answer yet. And December fillers are getting their approval. I don't know what to think. I know that VSC averages 5 months, but I figured we would hear something since people that filled after us are getting news.

Let's just say that the morale of the troops is very low. I don't know if we should call them, or if that would actually make any difference.

Congratualtions on everyone that is getting an answer now. I just thought we were going to have a summer wedding, but turns out I should forget about it.

Man this su***!

:(

Hang in there, your approval will come soon. If you have a special case, it may take some time, but you will get it at the end.

I was frustrated too, but when i decided to take a break from VJ, I got the approval, so my break lasted 6 hours lol

I know it's hard

As for the summer wedding, you still have time

APPROVAL!!!!!! YIPPEE! finally we are on the the next phase......

woooo gratz :dance::dance::dance:

now start getting ready for the P3

things will go really fast now, good luck

We are here to help you when needed

That's terrible and disheartening. Maybe a break from VJ will be helpful, or just doing something special for yourself (you certainly deserve it, brave and patient soul that you're being!). Whatever works best for you, the rest of the November folks will be here rooting for you, and ready to comfort you in the long (though few!) days until that approval shows up, and most eager to help you celebrate when it does!

APPROVAL!!!!!! YIPPEE! finally we are on the the next phase......

Hooray! Congrats! A fist pound for that, and here's to a breeze through to visa in hand!

Yup, it's post number 1415 by arwilson, I think :) How does my brain remember random things like that?! Ah, well, it's a good skill for crossword puzzles :P

I just got the letter from NVC today. It has a barcode on it, which seems kind of weird (who's going to scan it?) but whatever. I made Ewan email the consulate, so hopefully they'll tell him his packet 3 is on the way!

Thank you! It's a huuuuuuuuuuge relief! I never imagined being unemployed for so damn long! We'll be living in Charleston. Boeing is building a new 787 production facility there so it seems to be a good time to be going. I'll be working in the current facility for now but once the big plant opens there'll be a huge influx of people etc. so maybe we can make some money in real estate too :-).

Where it it you guys will be?

I am in the same boat. The NVC mailed to the consulate on March 5, and I saw that all packets sent within 3 days to Rio de Janeioro were received. I have emailed the consulate three times and they note that there is no record of getting my case. So, I called the NVC to ask what the hell is going on. The guy who I spoke to noted that even though they got the case, they may have not entered it into their systems yet. They got mine on 03/11/10 and still have not got it into their system... complete bs if you ask me. In the meantime, I am going to email them every few days until they tell me they have it. The pleasures of dealing with the U.S. gov't :)

This is prob the same with you case...

My fiancé called them yesterday and they said they sent it off on March 5.
