Hmm, that's the website I've been using, but for some reason, it keeps telling me that there are no shipments. What is the reference you used?

Man, computers are hard. :bonk:

Thanks Anwesha, you're the coolest!

EDIT: Ha! Nevermind - it just started working! I wish there was a fist-shaking emoticon; I would use it against computers.

But, hey, if the computer is going to tell me that my package is on its way to Auckland, I also have to give them hugs. I'm glad things are continuing to move along. Hope your packet 3 comes soon, Anwesha! Hugs!

Hey Megan,

A new update! I actually ended up calling NVC to confirm and remove the last teeny doubt, and the lady(God Bless her!) said that they actually shipped out our package on the 11th,so then I went back and checked for those dates, and according to that my embassy already has our package then.

Could it get any more exciting?I am going to look in for you as well and get back to you!

The update is: Yep, I called them, and that Auckland package is definitely ours. YAY! But I'm going up to do field work for a couple of days, so I won't be able to obsessively check the DHL tracking site to see where it is. I've put Ewan onto that task... :innocent: The giant envelope full of the I-134, email printouts, pictures, etc. that I sent for his interview arrived, also, so he'll be all set when that P3 comes his way.

I can't believe all this is finally happening!

Hi KisK,

Wow, you are already done with the medical? that is awesome.I am somehow dreading that more than the actual visa, cos in my country we really do not have well kept medical records, and even though I am sure I have taken all the needed vaccines,I am not sure how to prove that.

Well let us see about it.

And also, did they hand you any form, cannot remember the name, but you might need it later when you get it translated by a US surgeon for the AOS and removal of conditions process?Let us know please :)

We really do seem to be having a great pace here!

Hi! I was worried about not having my medical records too, but it turns out (at least in Hungary) that I would have had to get the shots anyway, even if I had my previous vaccination records. Apparently, it is just easier and cheaper to do than have me tested if I am truly immunized or not.

So last week I got a tetanus shot and a combined shot against (and I might have these names wrong, I am not sure of the English translation) diphteriea, rubeola and mumps).

The medical forms I got in Packet3 (4 sheets) were filled out by the doctor and sealed in an envelope. This is what I will have to take to the interview. He also told me to hang on to the new vaccination records, because I will need them later (these are already in English, but I am a little worried, as I have just noticed that they have mispelled my name on it). I also have to keep the chest Xray for 1 year.

Hope this helps :)

Hi meggs and everyone else

Now - I am not talking rubbish for a change! This is important. The packet 3, specifically the form DS 230. There is mass confusion. Both DOS and UK embassy site are not clear whether this applies to K1 applicants or not, one piece of information says it doesn't, but it really is not crystal clear. If you haven't read this thread, which includes the link to the DOS site, I have pasted it below. Mrs Dogs is confused.

First of all, Mrs. Dogs, you're never talking rubbish! It's always pearls of wisdom, hilarity, or awesomeness (or some combination thereof).

If it were me, I'd just fill the new one, but if there are disparities between the versions on different gov't sites, I'd imagine they'll be almost expecting people to come in with the "old" version, and they'll either have you transfer it or just accept it (especially given that they're so similar). Surely, an older-but-almost-the-same DS 230 won't be grounds for a denial. Especially not in London.

But definitely a good thing to be updated on; thanks for linking us to that thread! Another score for Mrs. Dog!

edit: sleuthing around (because apparently I don't have enough to do at work!) I saw that the one on the London Embassy website is the 2-2010 one...

I donno bout you, but in my french P3, i received the part one of the DS-230 + the other forms too. And they are all a print of the save-enabled forms i posted last week. So I just printed out the DS-230 i already filled, and sent it today with the DS-2001.

I didn't get the mail Drue sent me yet tho :(

*crossing my fingers that his mail doesn't get "lost" by the USPS (VSC's cousin) like the valentine gift i sent him *

PS : I looked at your link Mrs D. the DS-230 form is the same as the save-enabled one. Just fill this one, and don't worry :)

Huge thanks.

All I can say is, this process makes me feel like I have "additional learning support needs". You and the likes of Naddy are the brainy, popular girls at our Visa School, who are also are the head cheerleaders (I bet both of you could do the splits as well) and who will go on to have bright futures, successful careers and Hollywood teeth. I'm just the dork who hangs round on your coat tails!

Seriously, what DO people do who do the process without VJ? I can't imagine how it would even be possible to get through without it. You'd have to be telepathic.

LOL at USPC being cousin of VSC! London Embassy is also a first cousin. Packet 3 takes 8 days to arrive, and some people never receive it at all, despite NVC assuring them it was sent out!

Woohoo - my packet 3 is on its way!!! It was posted on the 15th so I'm expecting it any day now :D

Can I just say how much I love the DOS? Yes their IVR (oh my god, can't believe I just typed that - working for telecoms company syndrome - I mean the 'press 1 for this press 2 for that' thingy...) is the longest thing in the world but I got through to someone, she was exceptionally polite, and told me exactly what I needed to know. Mr. Jess has rung them a few times and says they've been amazing every time.

I almost can't keep up with how much faster everything seems to be going now :)

(PS sorry I've been about less...boss says I need to improve on a 'lack of focus' at work [wonder why?!?!] so I'm trying to restrict my at-work VJing...but still thinking of you all :))

Your spirit is always here, even after the time you spontaneously combusted all those months ago, your spirit lived on until you came home from the burns ward!

I agree about NVC. The lady I got was super charming, I thought I was talking to Michelle Obama.

My packet 3 was sent out on the 12th. But Kristen's took 8 days to arrive in the mail, so I don't think the UK embassy really does post them on the day NVC has record they did. But they certainly are on their way.
