Our Naddy is now a MARRIED WOMAN. Gorgeous cake! As I'm sure you were. There's a thunderstorm in SC right now. I am thinking about you x

Anwesha - I'm sitting on my sofa sorting through my old photos to pack up. Came across photos of when I spent a year in India (Tamil Nadu) working in an orphanage (when I was a mere slip of girl) and thought of you...

Also a thought to our Mr HandA, hoping he isn't causing any storms in Egypt!

November 09 K1 filers - our very own global village x

Mrs.D,wow,?So you have been to our country! That is the southern part of the country,I live in the eastern part.India is under this terrible terrible heat wave, life is reduced to being irritable and wiping sweat right now.

But we are all getting ready to welcome John and his parents to our city.

Oh and since you said something about you being in our country, while we are at it,I actually have visited your's too, when I too was a tiny person(well, just in size ,strictly hehe). My father did his post graduation from the University of East Anglia in Norwich.I have less memories of it,but we have pictures from those days. Those were some very wonderful times :)

Let us all hope we can call this thing a wrap as soon as Miss Jess and heisable finish their VIs.I hope am not leaving anyone out.

I think we should have a get-together once we all settle in .

Peace!

Mmmmmmmmm......cake!!! Looks good Naddy and so do you!!! ;)

I am currently 80% excited about interview and 20% nervous. I suspect that may become 100% nervous by Thursday, but the thought of Phase 1 of this process being over is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo exciting!!! I can't wait to spend hours in that ridiculously hot room in the Embassy for the third time...esp since this time I'll be one of those poor b******s with an I number that I always felt sorry for when I was there with my N numbers before ;)

Depends the reason, why? is there something wrong?

Naddy - did you get your SS number before you got married? In some counties in SC you need your SS to get the marriage license. Or, are you in a county with no SS requirement for license? What county are you in? Also, are you gonna do the civil surgeon transcription for immunizations, or not (see our Nov filers AOS thread for details)?

Heisable - you know we are here if you want to talk x

When we went to get the marriage license, they asked for the SSN or for a paper from the SS saying that I didn't have one, and when we went to the SS office to ask for that paper, the woman there just did the paperwork for it, and I received today my SSN :dance:kicking.gif, took only 6 days.

 I wanted to start to fill the AoS documents but reading the thread about it gave me a headache, so instead, I just had an Oreo sandwich ice-cream and watched tv

I guess I'll need help on that part, sooo confusing

Good luck to you today! It will go swimmingly, I'm sure, and we'll have some good news from you soon!

Good luck to our dear Jess for tomorrow, as well! Don't be nervous - you'll knock 'em dead!

@Naddy - Ice cream sammies are the way to go. But when you're ready to dive in to the AoS, don't forget about our Nov. AoS thread that will hopefully give you some answers. Also, of course, don't hesitate to ask anything. But you just got married, and you deserve several days off of hanging out and enjoying married life!

Awwww thanks :) I'm actually not interviewing til Thursday but going down to London town tomorrow night. Packing is the order of the evening tonight - first thing that's going in the suitcase is the visa file!!!

Feeling less nervous today, just can't wait for it to be over :) (and I'm actually quite happy about having a day off work, I'm totally frazzled!!)

Well......a bit of bad news....sigh :(

Joseph had his interview, all went well except my divorce decree was apparently not a "certified copy", although that is what I requested. So we are approved, pending receipt of the certified copy which I have on its way to me now. I will overnight it to the embassy when it arrives. So overall, its good but more delays......hate delays!!
