10 months?! Lady you have amazing strength....there am I thinking six months is bad :( Me and J are trying to figure out if we can get him here before the big move, but the flight prices SUCK right now...you know, we chose November are our wedding date because last year flight prices (for our guests) were around the £320 mark direct...now I can't find anything for less than £500. Now a lot of my friends are a lot less likely to come, and can't blame them :(

But back to you my dear....VERY happy for you finally getting to see your man :) When's the big move?!

Aww,thank you Miss Jess.I don't know how I did that, but I would not have the courage to do that ever again and I would not wish that upon anyone of us.

I am so happy,I get tingly thinking soon I will be able to pinch him and hug him

Well the big move is happening on the 28th of June.Oh yea! less than a month to go :)

I hope you fast forward to your interview day soon ,cannot wait for you to also get done !!

Well, me and Jum arrived in America today. It took less than 30 min to go through immigration and customs. Now I cannot sleep because I slept all day. Stupid 24 hours on a plane with no sleep. I will wait a few weeks before jumping into the AOS discussions. I just want to enjoy my time with Jum without the stress of USCIS. Good luck to everyone still waiting to enter the US. Hopefully I can fall asleep soon so I can show Jum around DC instead of just unpacking and rearranging.

We went today to get a wedding license and the lady asked me for a paper from the SS stating that I don't have a SS number yet

So we went to the SS to ask for that paper, and I guess it was my lucky day cos I could apply for one (I always thought I should wait for after the wedding to be able to apply for one ), and .... apparently, the K1 fiance in SC are allowed to work . So once I get my SS card in 2 weeks, I could start working  .

oh well, bye bye for the 2 month of laziness I was getting ready to :hehe:

Fingers are still crossed waiting for Juliana's interview approval...

Naddy, I know it has been raining all week in SC, and we thought we were leaving the rain behind in France and Scotland. What jobs you in the market for in SC?

I get my visa in hand tomorrow, according to the embassy courier site! Flights all booked for 28 May! Starting to get really, really excited now. 3 and a half weeks to go!

I have a really, really nasty neighbour here in my street, who has made my life a misery. A monstrous woman, who goes by the name of "Big Evelyn", (she's big and she's also an ignorant bully and totally belongs on the Jerry Springer show). I am currently enjoying plotting (and salivating) at how exactly I am going to say goodbye to her on the morning I leave my home for the last time (at 5.30 in the morning).....snigger....

 Ebil Mrs D.

I'm gonna try to find a job as a cost controlling manager or something in business. But my degrees will let me file in for whatever manager job. I just hope I could find a decent job. I think it's gonna be a bit difficult for me, I still can't understand ppl when they talk fast over here, plus their accent is awful. I have to look up at Drue everytime I don't understand something (yeah, I'm shorty :( 5' 3, 161 cm ). I don't think I could do that at work :hehe:

Yep, 28th June. My visa was delivered this morning. It's like holding the Holy Grail when you finally get it in your hands.

2 weeks still to go till your interview and you're gonna get stung on the visa price hike due to the fault of NCV by sending your file to Dublin by mistake. Doesn't that make you mad?

That's great that you can start looking right away! It's going to be a party night around here when Ewan finally gets his EAD. He has a job waiting for him here in the same lab where I work, so we'll be together ALL DAY! In a year, I suppose I won't be as excited about that prospect as I am now...

You know for some reason this whole episode reminds me of a funny Mark Haddon book- a typical nosey neighbour,a small scenic country side neighbourhood and all that jazz.I bet Mrs.D will do us all proud the way she deals with this character
