Did u check on the DHL site if the embassy got the case? i did that, and i found out that my embassy got it. Now just waiting for them to send me the P3. According to other frenchy's timeline, I should expect it next week, along with what Drue sent me, and my parents too lol.

Omg, i'm so excited :dance::dance::dance:

God is rewarding us after all the suffering we went thru :innocent: (dealing with VSC skipping october/november for 2 month, and dealing with those who never (will they ever?) understood that we were fighting for the principles of the process, aka, processing the applications in date order. Oh well, once an info twisting maniac, always an info twisting maniac  )

Still crossing my fingers for justar. Come on VSC, she's the only active VJ left, don't let her suffer more. the grannies can go in spring hibernation after if they want. I promise, i'll send them everything they need for knitting as many sweater as they want for their boss, but pls, give us some news for justar :star:

yes in support all the way..congratulations and vsc i would wipe you if you dont do justar justice

I think you have to have an interview date before you can pay for the visa, but I could be wrong. Also the change was to take effect in Feb. On the Colombia Club Part II thread, they were talking about a VJ member went to pay $350 and the bank would only accept $131. The remainder of the money was to be paid at the embassy. So who knows...the embassy is usually last to know.

Go to the Colombia Club Part II thread if you have any questions about the embassy in Bogota. They are very knowledgeable.

For the Embassy in Thailand, they require the receipt to be mailed with packet 3. Once you know the NVC has sent your case to the Embassy, go pay the Embassy fee.

In February, the DoS modified their original proposal for fare increase. That required for them to allow public comment until around the end of Feb. Then they have to review those public comments. Then they may make a change or not. If they do make a change, it must go through the public comments again. If not, then the paperwork must make it's way through all of the formalities.

Yes I did check the DHL site. That is how I knew it left the NVC, unless there was another case going to BKK 2 days after they received my case.

Based on other Thai timelines the interview will happen 1 month after sending in the Packet 3. So in a little over a month Jum may have her visa. In 3 months we will be on a plane together flying to America. In 4 months we will be married. Then the fighting will begin because we have never lived with someone from a totally different culture.

Yes Please VSC ,just hand it over will you!!

We are with you justar!!

I think NVC has not yet sent out our package to India ,but that's okay, they can do that on Monday :)

Good luck everyone!Keep us posted on your progress!

Ours hasn't been shipped to NZ, either, but I agree: Monday would be just fine :) I'm checking that darn DHL website even more times a day than I checked the USCIS website in the height of my insanity waiting for NOA2. And I was naive enough to think that I'd be sane after getting that piece of paper!

Wahoo! That's moving along fast! After the consulate gets ours, we have about the same wait (1 month) before the interview, theoretically. Good luck with both of you on the culture shock aspect. I'm trying to steel myself, getting ready to deflect all the complaints Ewan has about things like Fahrenheit and the US health care system.

Hey guys, glad to see so many cases making their way over the ocean :)

I got my shots yesterday which - aside from being surprisingly expensive - completely wiped me out for most of the day. But anyway, another checkmark to add to this process, almost there!!!

I also talked to the embassy, where they told me that I should go in as soon as I have all my documents ready and they will help me look through it to make sure it is on order for the interview. Once that is done, they will schedule the appointment. I was all ready to do just that next week right after the medical, except the police certificate I had issued turned out to be the wrong one (should have waited for embassy instructions before applying for everything :( ), so now I have to wait another week before I can go in. Still, once again, I can see the light now, hoping for an early April reunion :) :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Mrs Naddy, that is very, very helpfu. Has your genius ever been officially recognised in France?

Now, Mrs Dog is going to ask one of the most dumb questions ever to be asked in the history of VJ! Be prepared to be shocked at just how dumb Mrs Dog really is.....here I go

Original documents to be brought to the embassy on day of interview: Specifically - birth certificates and divorce certificates. Mrs Dogs' dumb question:

Obviously it is the beneficiary's documents they want, but do they also want the USC's birth and divorce certificates too?

Hi Kristin&David,

From what I have read and gathered,I think your fiance does need to have your original birth certificate for the interview.

It will be great if you also cross-check,but I think I will be asking my fiance to send it over, like Naddy says ,better be on the safer side of this intense process :P

And here are you still able to care about others, when you've just been put through your own untold anxiety of NVC sending your case to the WRONG embassy, getting your hopes ups that they had gone all caring and considerate and not making you travel to London, then finding out they had made an error! What are they like!

It hadn't actually been sent to the embassy when i called... thankfully. All the details were e-mailed to them yesterday so hopefully they'll get them and have it changed before it leaves there. Let's just say my Fiancee wasn't too happy when she heard about the mess either (via voicemail as she was at work).

...and if i didn't do something i'd probably go 'cuckoo'.

I's say just the benificaries as they can get everything for the US citizen via their SSN.

Beneficiary- Male- Novosibirsk, Russia (siberia)

NOV 2, 2009 - NOA 1

FEB 9, 2010 - NOA 2 (4 months)>>you can start calling the NVC to see if they sent the package to Embassy!

FEB 16,2010 - USCIS - NVC (1 week)

FEB 23,2010 - NVC - EMBASSY MOSCOW (1 week)

FEB 25,2010 - EMAILED EMBASSY and RESPONSE 3 DAYS LATER>> THEY SCHEDULED INTERVIEW FOR APR 29, 2010

NOA1-Interview date= a few days short of 6 Months> National Average was 5 months.

Today is MAR 13, 2010 - He's still waiting for his package from the embassy... not sure what we do from here besides me sending him the Affidavit of Support, Letter of continuing K1 Visa, and Financial documents (work employ letter, 2 previous tax returns, 2 recent pay check stubs, proof of ongoing relationships>emails, phone bills, calling card bills, skype msgs) before his interview. Is he supposed to send the embassy anything after I send him what he needs before the interview? This is where I'm confused.

Total days from NOA1-Interview Date= a few days short of 6 MONTHS! > estimated national time is 5 months.
