We've only rung NVC so far and not DOS so I can't help I'm afraid :( sure I will join you in frustration tomorrow!!

In other news, I booked my medical today!! April 7th - just want to get it out the way so when the magic P3 comes through we are ready to go. Simulataneously very excited and kind of terrified - things really starting to happen now :)

Well, you so have something to look forward to tomorrow - the DOS phone line! It's the evil mothership of all automated phone systems. Do let me know how you get on!

In the UK Interviews 2010 thread they said you can call the DOS to find out if the Embassy has received your case - we're going to try, given that calling the Embassy costs £1.20/min and there's a minimum of 15 minutes on the phone......an experience I've already had the joy of from my J1 visa days :bonk:
Miss Jess, do let me know if have been able to fathom out the menu of DOS and found an option to speak to a live person, or even an option to check your status?

It has got me beat! :help:

I just called DOS and got through surprisingly easily! I called 202-663-1225, I pressed 1 on the first option and then 0 to bypass the next menu and go straight to a live person. I gave our case number and names and she was able to tell me that our case has been received in London and that packet 3 was mailed out on March 8th! So excited about that, we should have it any day.

We went ahead and booked the medical today as well, they didn't ask if we had gotten packet 3 yet, they only wanted our case number. They seemed to have lots of appointments available (even as early as next week) but we booked for March 24.

Thanks Naddy!!!

Do you know if they send e-mails with notifications after NOA2 or just printed letters??

To resume it all, see here

Drue got a letter one week after our NOA2 that VSC sent to NVC our application. Then, 2 days after, NVC sent him a letter telling him that they received the application, Gave it a new number, and that they are gonna send it to the consulate.

After that, the consulate will send me the P3.

What you should do, is, start getting ready for your P3 starting today. Then, take a week break, you deserved it. Then come back to see us when you get your letter from NVC :)

Check for more info here

wooo, so excited

How long did you give it before you called NVC?

I guess if you wait a week they should have both received it & forwarded it on.
