I think the janitor threw out our november petitions

We're early December filers, and my heart breaks to know that there's November filers who still haven't been processed yet.. This is ridiculous, it should't even take more than one month.. The fact that they have this kind of backlog goes to show the problems with our immigration system. :crying:

Yes I guess I am the future Mr. Jess? but good news we talked over Blackberry Messenger this morning, she may be smoldering but alive and well.

I think the janitor threw out our november petitions

Starting to look like it. With the current backlog and the somewhat scandalous situation that handfuls of January petitions are being processed while loads as far back as October haven't even been touched, I've decided to stop bothering checking until my 5 month date comes up (5th April) - once I get there I hope others whose 5 months are up will join me in BOMBARDING the VSC with complaints/queries.

Hey how do you know if someone else's case was touched? You can only do that if you can know their last updated date and that you can know only if you have access to their account right?

I am sorry,but have I missed something?

Thanks and good luck as we wait :)

and we shall soon see people who are going to file in March or later get approved.I think the evil forces might have even printed out and nicely stacked the their future NOA2s.

May be we should all go back in time and think about what made us pick November,of all months.

Hey all November filers...Happy 3 month anniversary (well at least for those up to Nov. 15th!)...I rechecked Nov. 18th..and there has been no movement on any of those that have not been already approved or RFEd. since Nov. 24th well except for 3...and they were changed in Dec..and one in late January. So, if you are one of those, maybe you graduated from the shelving to someones desk..or maybe you got moved to another shelf..anyway, I am on the 18th..and I added all them to my portfolio..if they start coming in..I will let everyone know.

EAC1003350057 01/30/2010 I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Still got at least 2 more months and 3 days to wait for 5 months...plus if you count in all the holidays..maybe we need to wait till May...Anyway, yah, it is frustrating..but we are going to make it! October people cant complain yet..they are only at 4 months, well, I guess they have a right to complain, but it is not really valid since 5 is the expectation.

As of 16:15 EST there has been one RFE today Feb 16 for Nov 3rd 2009 EAC100235xxx filers.

Ok I have got a question. We have now managed to collect quite a snapshot of how USCIS works. Yes we cant make head nor tail of their practices and procedures but it does show there are quite major descrepencies in processing in date order.

What are we going to do with the information?

Is it just a coping mechanism for waiting or will there be any practical use for it. Does it get sent the White House to help them see another issue with a broken immigration system. Does it get sent to congressmen etc

It is a great coping mechanism....until the 5 months is up...then after that, I think this is an outstanding tool to give someone a complete picture of the 'state of affairs' when it comes to I-129F processing. Thing is..they can easily change the times to 6 months..or a year...then we are back to coping. In my mind, if you consider the mound of applications they must have coming thru (thousands per day)..the system seems to work pretty darned good.

I've contacted my Congressman with the info on the spreadsheet. The Congressman or woman will contact the Congress branch of Vermont Service Center and they give responses pretty quickly. I got a response last week saying that the reasons are due to humanitarian, fast/slow officers, etc... I re-sent my congressman a letter this morning replying to VSC's reply... stating that I understand that some applications will get processed ahead of me... but 50+% (Dec 15) versus 5% (Nov 4)... come on now! Anyone with a brain knows that those reasons are not statistically possible. There is an obvious flaw in their system. Applications should be pulled out from a large pool of applications (easy with computers and serial numbering) instead of given to officers in batches.

I advise each of you to contact your congress representatives. My guess is that no one has done an audit on USCIS's system (who would... there are no checks and balances...especially with the lack of transparency)... We have to stop the mentality that things should be done the way they have always been done... USCIS has to adapt to technology to make a more efficient processing system... After all we are the tax-payers and we've paid our application fees! Afterall Obama wants CHANGE!

We may not be able to help our own applications in time, but at least we'll have fixed the flaw for future applicants.
