Its definately good to get the receipts and know things are happening... now you have the all important receipt number so you can check the USCIS website 500 times daily lol

Onwards to the next step now... Im still waiting for my Biometrics appt letter, hopefully any day now!

I have some very good and somewhat unexpected news!

I received the biometrics appointment letter today. I thought it would be another week away at least...

So that means that it arrived 8 days after my NOA1's to give you all a timeframe.

Now I have to work out if I can try and sneak in early as the appointment is scheduled for 11/30.

Congrats! That's so awesome! I heard it all depends on your local biometrics office and how busy they are as there are some people who filed over a month ago and still don't have theirs. Am hoping my office moves as fast as yours

your next step after they've received it is for them to cash the checks... A week after they'd received mine they cashed the checks, then I got the NOA's, 3 days after that (10 days after they'd received the package.) It does seem to vary though a few days either way... But that gives you some idea of what's coming next... Good Luck!

URGH - I just got updated on the USCIS website showing that a RFE has been issued.

I am almost certain its in regards to the I-864 as I had a co-sponsor and things got kinda complicated as to what tax information was required.

Oh well, hopefully it arrives this week so it can be fixed.

i just checked western union again since we used money order.. and they haven't cashed it yet maybe i'll try again later or tomorrow

URGH - I just got updated on the USCIS website showing that a RFE has been issued.

Aw that sucks - sorry to hear that... I'm sure it will be something that's easy to fix. Hope you don't have to wait too long for it to arrive.

PS:

If you want your timeline to show below your posts just click on your profile name... once the profile loads below `about me' it will say edit signature and then click that and you can enter your timeline.

There's also an official timeline thing for putting in NOA's etc that gives you info on when you can expect your EAD and AP... It's under `my assistant' on one of the top control bars...

Hey Newlyweds... ours took a while to show up, ours was cashed on the 10th but didn't show up on the bank records till the 11th... I'm sure yours will show up really soon...
