Well, since me and Marie timeline are always the same +/- 1 day, I received notice today for approval on AP and EAD :-)

Good luck Marie for the job search! Doesn't hurt to post an updated version of your resume on job boards, but I totally understand you want to wait to have the card in your hands to do interviews... People get scared when you say the "immigration" word :-t

yes it's awesome things are moving along!! :dance: I'm sure people will be able to see (after our thread) if a Walk-in Bio really does make the AOS process shorter or not, I'm still trying to figure it out...

Maddy's EAD card arrived in the mail today. So we'll be off to the Social Security office tomorrow or Monday to get her Social Security card, and then off to the Department of Motor Vehicles early next week also for her driver's license. I'm curious about one thing however. I know the Social Security office will issue her an SS card without any problem based on her EAD card. What I'm not so sure about is how or even IF they will issue her daughter a social security card.

10-13-2011: Received Reminder Letter

11-21-2011: Sent my ROC via USPS Express Mail

11-22-2011: Package received at 10:52AM by INS EXPRESS MAIL and signed by Mario Guerrero

11-22-2011: NOA Receipt Date

Yay! Congrats so happy for you and Maddy that it arrived! :thumbs: Also gives me an idea of when to expect mine. I dunno on the SS office for Maddy's daughter. I would recommend though posting or doing some research on the `working and travelling before green card' thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showforum=115 some of the posters on that thread are super knowledgeable on social security and all the ins and outs and will give you web links too... Definitely worth getting the official line and print outs of that as the social security staff really vary on their knowledge when it comes to us `aliens!'

awwwwwww im so happy for all of you! you will be residents in no time and will work legally and all. im still stuck, waiting and waiting since i last sent the RFE. does anybody know if there is a way to get in touch with them and say: hey idiot i gave you the info months ago! hahah sorry but i honestly love that everything is working fine for all of you!

Aw Noirdior that sucks as I want all the other November filers to have good news too. Maybe you could call the phone line and see if they'll tell you anything... Verify they received it?
