Hrmm. I can't edit my previous post for some reasons...

I wanted to wish everybody a happy new year!!!! I wish all our journey ends up with an happy conclusion :)

Notice was send on December 28th (Which happends to be my father's birthday. :lol:)

Now I'll be nervous, trying to get everything together... But I must admit I have a good lawyer so it will help. I'm such an anxious person... I could probably have done it on my own, but getting a lawyer saved me 4-5 months of constant heartburns.

Thank you Mestis, :star: that's good to hear they sent out more interview notices on Dec 28th... :thumbs: Hopefully they sent out mine and Dirtyweebesom's ILs too since we're further away from Missouri - fingers crossed they might be on their way.

I didn't hire a lawyer, didn't think/hope I don't need one. That being said if we still have no news a few weeks from now, I don't know what we can do... :crying: I know after 90 days of waiting for EAD you can schedule an infopass but that would be February - really hoping it doesn't come to that and I get good news soon. in a few days it will be 2 months since I applied - really ready for part of the waiting to be done with!

Happy New Year everyone! Here's hoping 2010 brings fast AOS approvals for all of us! :thumbs:

Kinda strange and not quite sure what to make of this: Today at 8:01 a.m. CST, I received another e-mail from USCIS, stating that production of EAD card has been ordered as of 12-31-09. Bare in mind that I had already previously received this exact same e-mail notification (with the exception of the date of production ordered being different) on 12-28-09, where it stated production of the EAD card had been ordered on 12-28-09.

With this in mind, I signed onto my account at USCIS website to check the status. The USCIS website shows a "Last Updated" (touch) of 01-10-2010 now for EAD (previously it had shown a date of 12-28-2009). The site also shows a Last Update (touch) of 12-31-2009 for the AP (travel document). I am assuming that this can be interpreted as meaning the AP travel document has now been approved also? (though I am really not certain about this).

I'm just kinda curious as to why I received a second "production ordered of card" notification with a new date on it. How can something that has already been ordered, be ordered once again? LOL. I guess the only thing I can deduce from this, is that (once again) USCIS has demonstrated that they really have no definable consistent system of processing AOS's. :P

Oopsie! Edit needed on my post above; the middle paragraph, should have read:

Hey Spongebobiwan, Believe it or not crazy as it sounds the second card order is normal! I know it makes no sense!

I have a lot of time on my hands so am on this site way more than is healthy! The second card order happened to a lot of October filers (check out their thread if you have the time/interest.) I can only assume first order means its ordered second order means its in the mail? Maybe? Who knows? But I agree with you there is definitely no consistency in the process - lots of surprises!

More good news for me!

Received my EAD today, and, much to my amazement, I do not look like a criminally insane crack addict in the picture! In fact, I think I even like the picture!

I also received my interview letter. The interview will be on February 16th at 9:00 a.m!

AUGUST 10 2004 - Arrived in Austin, TX with F-1 student visa status.

EARLY JAN/FEB 2008 - Met Michael (my future husband) in the café where he works.

APRIL 12 2008 - We go on our first date. It lasted 2 days!

APRIL 13 2009 - Got married in Marfa, TX, in the middle of the West Texan desert.

NOVEMBER 4 2009 - Finally saved up enough money to send off I-130; I-485; I-131; I-765.

NOVEMBER 5 2009 - Package arrived at the Chicago Lockbox at 9:32 a.m! Signed for by A. Analakis. [DAY 1]

NOVEMBER 12 2009 - Cheques for I-485 and I-130 are finally cashed! [DAY 8]

NOVEMBER 12 2009 - I-485, I-130, I-1765 & I-131 are all "touched"! [DAY 8]

JANUARY 2 2010 - Received EAD & interview letter (interview will be 02/16/10, San Antonio). [DAY 59]

FEBRUARY 16 2010 - Approved at interview! I-551 stamp in passport. [DAY 104]
