The last updated of our case is November 17,2009, and we got the NOA1 on November 16,2009.

You need to sign up first, then sign in, get into "My Portfolio". You are able to find "last updated", "form number" and "form title" etc.

Hi there, we filed in November, then got a checklist request, which we submitted in December. I have a quick question. We are praying that we can get through to the next step (an interview) before christmas, however I realise that the schedules are drawn up the second week of each month. My question is this. With Christmas, so you think our case (which was resubmitted on the 14th of December (received and being checked as per the automated message on that date) will make it to the embassy in time for the second week of January? Also, how often does the automated message update, and when is best to check for the lastest updates?

Did you already get your notice of action 2 (NOA2) from the USCIS? Please fill in your timeline as it helps everyone guage their progress in the process. Updates happen all the time. As far as when it will get to the embassy??? We cant say for sure. From the sound of it, you received an RFE. they will still need to make a decision on it and then it goes to the NVC. Without more complete information and timeline, it is hard to help you.

Apologies, I have not been keeping track of my exact times, so i couldn't fill out a time line.

We have all the documentation submitted, all the fees paid. The checklist was needed as I had forgotten to send two passport photographs, as well as a photocopy of a tax form. These were sent back and entered onto the system with the NVC on the 14th of December. We don't have any more forms to send, we just need 'case complete' to get to the next step, the interview.

I said that because depending on if you had your NOA2 or not. I didnt know where in the journey you are at. For what it is worth, you can use the dates on your notice of actions to fill in your timeline. As far as the NVC, i think everywhere has slowed down for the holidays. I dont know how much they are working these days. I hope we wont all be in limbo until January.

I paid the fees in the summer, sent the packages in November and got case complete (after one checklist request) today!!! Here's to an interview in February!!!!

Should I go ahead and get a medical done, or should i wait to hear about the interview date first? Will it not be until the third week of Jan before I hear about an interview?

Well, fellow November folks. It looks like most of September filers are done or getting "touches," and one October person has been approved. It's getting closer and closer!

Well, the holidays are over, and in a few days I'll head home to America, I've been checking Igor's list a lot this week to see if any NOA2's have started for the new year, and it looks like the answer is no. I'm hoping that they will get back into the swing of things at the CSC and we'll be getting some good news soon. How were the holidays for everyone??

Yeah hopefully they will get the lead out and start moving. I've been seeing touches on mine. I dont know if we are close to the NOA2 yet or not. They did receive my evidence and accepted it on 31 Dec. Just waiting now. I will see if expedited processing really works.

Hi everyone,

I am one of the anxious ones who check the site every day and log into the USCIS site every day to see if anything has changed. Realistically, do you guys think that we November filers will get our NOA2 in Jan? I am thinking Feb and I have already compiled a few things that will be needed down the road like my tax transcripts. I wanted to open a joint bank account but I think the banks will need a SSN number.

Well, there is hope on the horizon for everyone. I got an e-mail and txt today saying we were approved!!! The update went into the system for a txt message at about 2216 california time!!! I'm so excited now!! Now if only we wouldnt have had the RFE....we could have been approved a month ago! Either way..it's good news. Now to get the rest of the stuff put together for the NVC.

Congrats, Scott! Was your RFE regarding the divorce decree you mentioned?

Yes it was...the "copies are accepted" is BS if it is a divorce decree. It has to have the stamp showing it was filed with the court. I dont know if they would have taken it if I would have copied the stamp too or not. Didnt want to take any chances though...so i sent the original I had with me. I should be leaving kuwait here soon...still waiting on what day though. I have another stamped copy at home and i will get another one for my wife to take to the interview.
