Hey guys been MIA lately, just catching up, congrats to those who have NOA2's already. This is our month guys, quick question though, how do you know when you have a "TOUCH" on your file. I haven't logged into the profile I created on USCIS lately, is that where you get that info? I'm going March 16 to visit my Wife, Im so excited can't wait to see her.

hello ,, i never got touched. i got approval right away.

you should have NOA2 anytime.. I filed mine on Nov.16. thanks

When you sign into your account, you case will be listed. Right in the middle of that line there is a line that says Last Updated. If that date has changed, your case has been "Touched". They may or may not have done anything with it, but at least you know it's getting some attention.

Ours changed twice, and the second day our case was approved.

Sigh. Still no touches/movement since 12/1/09. Hopefully soon *fingers crossed*

Jan 14, 2006 - Married

Nov 11, 2009: I-130 package sent to Chicago Lockbox

Nov 18, 2009: Check cashed

Nov 20, 2009: I-130 NOA1

Dec 1, 2009: Touch

Feb 24, 2009: I-130 NOA2 mailed out

Hang in there, shouldn't be long now! You do know, though, that it just goes from one wait to another. Now I am waiting for NVC to give us our number (have called so many times I have the number memorized!), then will be waiting for interview date, then waiting . . . you get the picture! But it is worth it. ;) And I have to admit, when we got the NOA2, it was a huge relief. One stage down, two more to go! (I am not counting the AOS after he gets the 2 year gc - will stress over that one later!)

We got approved!! The e-mail literally just came! No touches, no updates, no RFE (Thank you, Lord!). Just an e-mail saying we've been approved!!

A few hours after I saw the touch, I got the text message from USCIS that the case was updated. Checked it online, and sure enough, Approved ! :dance:

Ashes mine was touched on 12/01/2009 too. My NOA 1 is dated November 23, 2009. So, if we are lucky maybe we may get approved around the same time. GOOD LUCK! I hate the waiting.

NVC:

02-25-2010 : Received NVC case number, but NVC is closed, so I can't give an operator our emails. :-(

02-27-2010 : Jumped the gun and emailed the VJ version of the DS 3032. Who knows what will happen :-)

03-01-2010 : Gave the operator both emails...waiting on DS3032 kit

03-02-2010 : Received DS3032 Kit; Resent DS3032 (just in case), Received AOS bill.

03-03-2010 : Paid AOS and IV bills; both are IN PROCESS

03-03-2010 : VJ email version of the DS3032 accepted (It was the one that was sent on 02-27-2010)

03-11-2010 : Both AOS + IV showed paid but processed on 03-05-2010 :-)

03-12-2010 : Mailed AOS packet. Waiting on my procrastinating hubby to send me his IV docs :-(

03-15-2010 : AOS signed for by St. Laurent at 10:03 a.m.

07-19-2010 : Received IV documents from hubby (Finally)

07-20-2010 : Mailed IV packet

07-21-2010 : IV Packet signed for by Peters at 10:15 a.m. (St. Laurent and Desmond are probably on vacation lol)

07-26-2010 : NVC starts processing IV Packet

08-20-2010 : Called NVC and was told that we received a "stupid" RFE on 08-18-2010

09-03-2010 : RFE sent to the NVC today....SIF please come quickly.

09-07-2010 : RFE signed for by Desmond at 10:16 a.m.

09-10-2010 : NVC acknowledges receipt of the RFE

09-30-2010 : SIF

10-01-2010 : Case complete as per NVC AVR

10-05-2010 : Interview date assigned for November 29, 2010 at 7:00 a.m. Approved

Our I-130 approved today/February 18, 2010!! 3 months and 2 days, it is not too long to approve, right? by the way, we never got any touched until today
