As Canadian Wife said, follow the short-cuts, they are a huge help. Make sure you have all the info you will need for this stage, the Police Certificates, the Petitioiner's tax info, etc. Having these things done ahead of time will save you a lot of hassle and stress when it comes time to file your paperwork.

And as far as them not taking your email addresses, I would call them again tomorrow and see if they ask for your email addresses. If they just got your case in the system it takes a day or so to be able to accept email addresses for some reason.

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/...s%27s_Shortcuts This is James' Shortcuts. Very informative as well as Ling Che's.

Good luck.

Thanks for shortcut. Here i what i need to do next

5. Case info is manually loaded into system. (Your case could be input immediately or could take weeks. Remember these words "Maybe tomorrow, maybe in 4 to 6 weeks, there is no pattern".)

How can i ensure they manually loaded my case info into system. Is there any way? i checked in this post many of them took months to enter into the system. Please advise.

Keep calling NVC until they take the email addresses.

Once that's done, NVC will generate a DS-3032 'kit' that is sent out via email.

The kit contains a non-fillable DS-3032 pdf file, the AOS fee bill / barcode thingie, and some instructions.

The AOS fee bill will have instructions on how to pay online via the online payment portal.

You can pay bills online - you betcha - but you need usa bank checking account.

REREAD LING CHE'S SHORTCUTS, in it's entirety. Read it 3 times - lots of stuff in there and skimming will hurt your ability to mirror the process 100 percent.

GOOD LUCK !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

If you are referring to your Affidavit of Support and IV Bills, the NVC allows you to pay these online. However, your lawyer may not use this method. In my opinion, using a lawyer will definitely slow you down at the NVC.

Best of Luck!!

I believe if you have an attorney and his name is on the I-130, he will automatically be the agent for you DS-3032, so one may not need to be filled out.

I agree with msnoob, having an attorney when you are in the NVC stage may slow you down as you are at the mercy of their office, whereas if you were doing everything yourself, you can do it right away and not have to wait on the attorney or more likely his secretary doing his job (I used to be a legal secretary, attorneys very rarely do their job when it comes to paperwork, that is what their secretaries and paralegals are for.). The NVC does accept payment online, but it has to be from a US checking account, you will need the bank's ABA number and the account number, but again, you are at the mercy of your attorney and if he insists on snail mailing, you are pretty much stuck.

Not to scare you off of having an attorney but in 80% of the cases I've read about with people who had attorneys on the boards here, the attorney had no idea what the proper process was for filing or for what is needed at the interview. Take that into consideration and always always always ask away here if you have questions. The VJ people here are so nice and will always answer a question.

Good luck!

I understand you all & may be some postive sign is appearing. I called NVC and operator asked me for email ids for me and my wife. Then i asked when will they send me postal mail as my lawyer wants to do all procedure by postal mail. She told me there is no mention of your lawyer in application. If you want to add him we need to send some form(i forgot the number) but if that's the case i will say GOOD BYE to my Lawyer.

I did not hired lawyer when i first filled I-130 but what happened one time due to some error in usics website my filling date past the current processing date and i went to lawyer for help. but after weeks again usics website showed i did not passed the current processing date. Waste of money.

But now i can do on my own as i donot want to waste time entering my lawyer in my case.

That's great news for you then! In a week or two the NVC will email you and your spouse the DS-3032 form along with an invoice for $70 and the website and info you need to pay online. Have the beneficiary fill it out, then send back to the NVC. Some people emailed, some mailed, some did both. Its up to you. Once that fee shows paid, print out the receipt with the barcode and send in the AOS package (with tax returns and proof the petitioner meets the income requirements either alone or with a co-signer). Once the 3032 is accepted, you will get another email from the NVC with the IV fee bill for $400. Pay that online, and when that shows paid, print that barcode and send it in with the 230 package with original documents and copies so that you will get the originals back. The 230 needs to be filled in by the beneficiary. You will need to gather a good amount of paperwork, so get started! All the detailed info you will need is in the shortcuts.
