In the platform, or among some of it's members? If the latter, it is also an ill of a good portion of the Democrats as well.

The latter and yes, I agree. But there are significantly more of them in the GOP. It's hardly surprising that most of the racists I know call themselves conservative.

It does seem to be more regional, and economic. But, I do get uncomfortable at times when Pat and Lou have the podium on the right, as I am sure the left does when Jessie and Louis speak as well.

Understood. Of course, the conversation was about why minorities tend to vote D, not about why white people tend to vote R. I can certainly see the Reverends Al and Jesse having the same impact on the white vote.
