What do you mean? NVC case number or the receipt number you receive from CSC? If you filed in July, then you should have received the receipt number by now.

Please clarify

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

I applied for my wife on June 1 and have received her approval notice from The California Service Center one month ago. If you applied in July, then you should be receiving an approval sometime within the next couple of weeks.

Basically, CSC is approving petitions with a receipt date of 5 months ago. Or the CSC is taking about 5 months to approve the petition after it was received. Each time line can be shorter or longer. Once the petition is approved CSC will forward it to the National Visa Center (NVC). Once the NVC has received the approved petition you can start the Ling Che's shortcuts guide for a CR1. Please refer to the IR1/CR1 forum.

For K3 applicants the NVC will assign a consulate/embassy case number and forward the approved petition to the appropriate consulate/embassy.
