Congrats eklondon!! Man, I'm SO happy for you guys - FINALLY. You, cmls, Holliday and I were all going through this at the same time and I've felt just awful for you. Personally, I'd email the consulate. Since it's Christmas, maybe they'll allow the visas to be picked up the next day... who knows. It's worth a shot anyway. They have some major issues there, but I don't think they're heartless jerks. Again, congrats!

The "expedited" time line that was about as expedited as pigs fly.

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

I really have no idea what "issue" you are all eluding too, but congrats eklondon and I wish you all the best! I can't imagine having to be separated from your family for so long.

ek sent a request to NVC that the interviews be expedited so that his kiddies could start school in their new area this year. He was told by a supervisor at NVC that both of his requests had been declined by Montreal.

He contacted Montreal and they said they never received them.

Thanks everyone for the laughs, I was trying to figure out what issues I had  ; you could ask my wife and she would respond with "You want them alphabetically?"

On a Serious Note

Never receiving a NOA2 from USCIS, but still went to NVC

AOS forms filled out they tell me I used the wrong form (twice) delaying the NVC completion date a couple weeks (I'm still bringing the originals to the interview just in case the embassy catches NVCs mistake)

Taxes, Taxes, Taxes ... sorta my mistake? I lived in canada as a PR since I was 8 never knew I had to claim taxes.

We wont even go there with the IRS and the freekin' ITIN forms

Delay after Delay

More to list but the best was NVC saying that Montreal Denied the request twice and them montreal saying they never received the request. NVC to this day, even after sending the email from Montreal to the supervisor denies they messed up.

Yes, it's been a LONG up and down jouney. We are just steps closer.

Thanks again everyone!!!

Would like to get some help.

I am taking the advise of sending an email to Montreal to see if the visa can be picked up same day or not. please read and help as I am bad at English (jk), this is what I have so far...

Subject Line - Spouse Case # and Spouse Name

To whom it may concern,

Good day, my name is eklondon petitioner for the cases listed below. My wife and kids have finally made it to the interview portion and we are excited to finally complete the immigration process. The four cases below are all scheduled for their interviews on Friday December 18th, 2009 at 8:30 am. We are unsure if the visas (if approved) will be mailed out same day, and if not would they wait until Monday December 21st to mail them? Knowing how the mail works around this holiday we don't want to risk us not being together because of the abundance of holiday cards and letters to a certain holiday figure (living in the north pole) can make the mail system slower than regular. I would like to request, if the beneficiaries (my family) are approved on the day of their interview that the visas be made available to either picked up that day or the next. We are planning to be together for the holiday season and even if approved and visa mailed to them we cannot setup our moving plans and book our travel plans early enough. Please respond so we may plan our holiday season as a happy one.

Regards,

eklondon
