Vote Christie ®, they said. Corzine (D) will shut this school down. They've been trying for months and we're fighting them! Help us out, vote Republican.

Private institution or not - that's pretty odd for them to word it like that in an official staff meeting.

A few times we've car pooled and I've seen a Christie cmapaign van intheir parking lot. I don't think it's much of a surprise.

Does the school have specific evidence that proves Corzine really wants to shut them down?

My wifes first exposure to an American election

Does she know to vote early, and vote often? This is New Jersey, right?

 Stop that! NJ has nothing on Illinois, and I resent your stealing our state catchphrase.

Source of "Vote Early and Often"

The cynical phrases "Vote early -- and often" and "Vote early -- and vote often" are variously attributed to three different Chicagoans: Al Capone, the famous gangster; Richard J. Daley, mayor from 1955 to 1976; and William Hale Thompson, mayor from 1915-1923 and 1931-1935. All three were notorious for their corruption and their manipulation of the democratic process. It is most likely that Thompson invented the phrase, and Capone and Daley later repeated it.

Now she's home, thinking about everything. Does she want to live in a state where insurance carriers are mandated to cover mammograms, or does she want a job?

Update: She is leaning strongly towards mammograms.

Corzine policies will shut the school down, yes.

Hmmm...I'd like to know his reasoning.

CONTROL!

Prediction: VJ wingnuts will be very happy tomorrow evening.

Matt Drudge is feeling good about tomorrow too.

I wish you well, wingnuts. On to 2010.

First time my wife voted, she got permission for me to join her in the voting booth, to help her make heads or tails out of that stupid voting form.

The first thing she didn't understand as to why she couldn't vote for the person of her choice, didn't like neither the vice-president nor the lieutenant governor running, frankly, I don't understand that either.

With the several referendums we had to vote on, used sentences with triple negatives. Really written to twist your brain, frankly, I don't understand that either. Then many of the local offices didn't have anyone running against them, but did have the option to write in your own name, something I like to do. The way we vote is almost a waste of time.

Heard on WPR yesterday, that 20% of our country are republicans, 33% are democrats, leaving the vast majority of us, 45%, with very little choice to vote for the lesser of two evils. And that is how we vote today.

We have 'interpretive statements' here in NJ, which are much more comprehensible. Makes me wonder why they don't just write like that all the time.

You could vote 3rd party, the option usually exists. But most people fall for the canard that it's a wasted vote when in fact there's no such thing.
