I'm a little embarrassed and a LOT confused....

We received an RFE for court records. I called the NVC immediately, spoke with an operator, and told her that we submitted a letter from the courthouse stating that the records were too old to be located. She said to me, "oh, but there was a police certificate with something else on it." It then dawned on me they were looking for the court records for a traffic stop in the UK. I asked if she meant the traffic records, and she said, "it must be."

I explained to the operator that those were for a traffic stop, and I didn't think those were necessary for the DS-230, and she said that they would need the records, but she would ask a supervisor to review our case.

I jumped, and had my husband obtain the records. They were overnighted on Friday, which is a story all in itself.

But anyway, imagine my surprise when I called the AVR today on the "off" chance that it may reflect receipt of our checklist items, and the AVR says:

Your case was complete on October 30, 2009.

So apparently, they didn't NEED those records after all? What will happen to them now that the case has been marked complete? We should probably have them at the interview just in case my husband is asked about them.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! How did I miss your post Julie?? Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whoo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Yes, you will need them for the interview, that was OUR problem, we didnt have what we needed, RFE'd us after the interview, told us to mail it in THEN we get our visa supposedly. I"ll see it to believe it in our case...
