MY FIANCE'S TB TESTS CAME UP POSITIVE. THEY ARE REQUIRING A TREATMENT OF 6 MONTHS!!!!!

What do I need to do now? Do I need to extend the petition? We already had our interview and they said that all we needed to do was turn in the medical exam and they would approve the visa because everything else was in order. We couldn't bring the medical results because they still we doing tests. Now that we have to do the treatment do we need to extend anything. Also, what is the process after the treatment? Do we have to reapply for everything? When can she travel after the treatment?

Thank you all in advance!!!

Sorry to hear the bad news. Did this happen at St. Lukes Hospital, Manila Philippines? If so, St. Lukes will coordinate the next steps with the US Embassy. FOllowing treatment you should not have to start over. They may require a new exam in 6 months to see if it's cured.

You may want to post about this in the Latin America subforum as well: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showforum=96

Other Peruvian VJers may be more likely to see and respond there.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

Will the embassy just wait till the treatment is done? Or do we have to file anything so the petition doesn't expire? Do we have to do the interview again? I sure have a lot of questions, but its because we are sad and confused.

I feel for you and your fiance. TBC isn't something small..But there's good treathment for it. At least, in my country... :unsure: I think the health of your fiance is the most important thing at the moment. And since it is sometimes contagious I highly recommend you to get yourself checked out, if you haven't already done this.

As for the immigration the infection has to be out of her body completely before she can fly to America. You can call the consulate and ask how it all goes to work. If you need another interview, I'm pretty sure they'll let you know if you do. Though I doubt that she'll need a full one again.

Correct me if I'm wrong though,

Love is patient and kind;

it is not jealous or conceited or proud;

love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable;

love does not keep a record of wrongs;

love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth.

Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail.

Love is eternal.
