I would like to write a letter, but I never caught the lady's name.

It seems she's ALWAYS doing xrays though, so maybe they'd know who I mean.

You could always phone up the office, and ask her name. Describe her physically, and say that she was in charge of doing your xrays. They would probably know who it was then. Or, they could look it up in your file there. Maybe she had to initial something after completing that part of your medical.

Yeah, she initialed the little white paper.

I'll probably do that when this is all done and I get to the US.

Everyone else was friendly though, which was nice :)

~*My Medical Review*~

I just got back from my medical in Toronto so I'll give a summary which will be pretty similar to the other medical reviews.

I got there pretty early...around 6:10. There was no one there and I waited in the car for a bit. I parked right infront of the office and didn't have to pay b/c I was out by 8. So around 6:20ish I went to the front door (which was open btw). I actually stood there for a good 10 min before thinking "maybe the main door is open"...and it was. So I went inside where there was the actual sliding door we had to wait infront of. I was first in line, but like mentioned before...it got pretty busy before the doors even opened.

This lady told us to have our interview letter ready in hand. Once we got in, I was sent off to a room to do the paperwork...sign consent form, pay, give pictures etc. Then I was off to the X - Ray room. Waited outside on the chairs until the Xray tech finally came. Thanks to everyones reviews here, especially about how to "correctly" position your shoulders....I got into the hunched model pose right away :) That took like 5 mins...and DONE. Then I was sent to another room where I waited for the Doc. A person came and did my height/ weight. Then I was told to take off everything and change into the paper gown. Doc came...looked at my immunization cards...said everything was up to date. Asked me abunch of Qn's (any major surgery, any DUI's, psychiatric conditions? etc). I answered no to all of them. The DOC was super nice btw. We joked about how I still had the band-aids to prove I got immunized. Then a nurse came in, who was also nice to do the breast exam. I dont really think she did it right...maybe my family doc is a bit more thorough but watever. No Pap tests or anything so no worries. Then I had to wait for the lab lady to come for my blood test. Got that done and I was pretty much finished right before 8.

Moral of the story:

- Arrive early

- You can open the front doors and wait inside rather than freezing

- Have your paper work organized b/c they are very fast paced...some ppl were scrambling to find stuff in big purses and bags. I just brought a folder with my letter, pics, passport, money on one side and all the immunization stuff on the other side.

- That is all.

Hope that helps!

One last thing. This lady who was right after me told me that the Xray texh said how she wont do Xrays after 8am b/c it's not her problem if people come in late. I thought that was pretty outrageous. And I dont think she was just saying that b/c after my exam I went to Starbucks across the street, and there she was! So be there early!

Oh really.

Thanks for the info.

I'm still wondering where my closest FedEx is, my mom isn't very happy about it, but it's either that or they drive me back to Toronto.

I haven't been paying attention to this part. What does Sean need to know about Fed Ex before he goes for his medical? Does he need to bring $$ or an envelop or something?

If you can't pick it up, you have to pay an extra 50 bucks for them to send it to you.

And Now I remember something. I remember when I got back behind the curtain I was muttering bad things about the xray lady

Have a look at http://panelphysicians.com/ if you haven't already. It's handy. It mentions there, as Rhiann also said, that it's $50 to mail out the results if you are unable to pick them up (about 2 business days later). That's just for anywhere in Ontario though.

I'm not sure if you are able to get a tracking number from the Dr's office. I will ask tomorrow if I remember (no promises that early in the morning.. LOL)
