Not to mention the whole "Obamamania" thing was started by right wingers with a serious case of sour grapes.

The right wingers were buying campaign buttons and putting a half dozen "Change" stickers on all their vehicles?

Bush had an approval rating around 28% for last 2 years or so of his 2nd term & a large part of the hysteria over Obama was really just excitement that Bush would be out of office soon. The Right twisted this around to stupid liberals blindly supporting Obama but like I said it was really just a painfully obvious case of sour grapes.

More of a rationalization on your part than what the facts on the ground would indicate. Conservatives actually like liberals in power (temporarily of course), solely for the shear enteratainment value. Think of it more as heckling, than the gnashing of teeth in dispair.

Not a rationalization at all, but merely the truth from what I saw (i.e. my perception of the situation).

And perception is reality, I'll buy that! :star:

 Reminds me of the saying "there are 3 sides to every story: your point of view, my point of view & the truth".

When they were recruiting potential officers and nco's from the reserve components, the presentation started out with a discussion of three precepts:

1) Perception is Reality

2) Behavior is Believable

3) Expectation is Energy.

I was waiting for the Amway guy to show up.
