Got biometrics done today.

We also received RFE letter today, and surprise-surprise ... it's for I-693 "Submit a properly completed and signed Form I-693...". We included I-693 with AOS and had a local CS to do the transcription. So, we are thinking what to do next.

K1:

NOA1: 04/06/2009

NOA2: 07/23/2009

POE: 10/25/2009

Marriage: 10/30/2009

AOS & EAD:

Date sent: 11/23/2009

AOS & EAD NOA1: 12/01/2009

Biometrics done: 12/24/2009

Received RFE for I-693, although we included I-693 with AOS.

Replied to RFE with full medical

EAD approved: 01/22/2010

AOS Interview scheduled: 03/08/2010 Approved couple of days later

There are many November filers that was able to submit their AOS with I-693 but still received an RFE. As I said in other post that the I-693 letter is generic, same letter even you submitted the I-693 or DS 3025. Those who just submitted the DS 3025 they will just responds it by transcriptions, since that you already submitted it, you are thinking if you will prespond by the full medical or another transcription by the CS, same questions of those who received same RFE because of the confusing words, "properly completed" but we all knew that k visa holder needs only a transcription by the CS as long as your overseas medical is valid.

I received same RFE, I responded with another transcription because I thought my I-693 was invalid because Dr. Arnold made it until I figure it out that even those who had vaccinations here and transcribe by another CS received same RFE. My EAD and AP are already approved a week after the USCIS received my respond. I will not advice you to have another transcription like what I did because we might have different reason why we receive the RFE. I am still worrying if I will receive another RFE by sending another transcription because my AOS is still pending.

If you have money for full medical examination and you want to be safe and not to worry, I think it's better to have a full medical examinations.

Good luck!

Add me to the group of RFEs, but we chose not to submit the I-693 with the original submission.

Probably was a good idea, as even people who did are getting RFEs for the I-693.

Anyway the form we got is a generic form but it does not ask us to fill out any specific parts.

Been too busy at work to post before this.

That's good yours was so specific. It seems a lot of peoples' said that they just needed to fill out the I-693. Mine was issued day before Christmas, so I should find out tomorrow or Tuesday what it says.

My RFE was 3 pages:

Page one asked for part 1, part 2 section 5 and part 5 of I-693,

Page two asked for part 2 section 5 of the I-693,

Page three asked for part 5 of the I-693.

One can only imagine someone was trigger happy at the prospect of getting parole from their cube for a Christmas break, either that or just incompetence.

We feel fortunate in a way... on December 23rd we got an interview date in the mail. (The e-mail alert system doesn't seem to work for us except for the initial notice  ) We have a K-1 and K-2 interview on, January 26th.

Although we are happy that we are moving along, we fully expected our paperwork to be transferred to California and not get an interview for a two year green card. This seems rather like over kill, but hopefully we only have one interview and do not need another interview for the 10 year green card.

On a side note...I sure don't know why the I-169 is being singled out on so many applications. This seems so random or arbitrary. We had to do a full medical, because our I-169 time frame had lapsed. I am sorry all of this is happening to so many and wish all of us the best of luck in the new year!

So i called a few civil surgeons here in SC and 2 of the closest will only accept if i do a full medical even if i have explained over and over my rfe only states transcription coz m already done with medical...soo rediculous!!

anyways the 2 cheapest one if found are both 2 hours drive away from whre we live... one in charleston will charge $75 for transcription and one in charlotte is $40..

we have an appointment tomorrow in charlotte.. they seem to know what to do..and i have read somewhere here in the forum that they did their transcription there and had a good experience.. ill update tomorrow how it goes...

my husband is not too happy having to drive 2 hours and have to be late coming in to work in the afternoon but we have no choice :(
