Well on March 01-2005 we first submitted our I-129F package for our K1. 11 1/2 months later my AOS got approved. :) Had our interview today in downtown L.A. and it was a breeze. The only documents he asked for was my wife's birth certificate, passport, I-94 and the marriage certificate. The immigration officer was so cool, we talked about our backgrounds and work history which we had alot in common with him. He even invited us to this outdoor cultural event that he holds every year and gave us his contact info so we could hook up with him before we go. And he even mentioned setting up a booth for us so we can promote our internet radio station (which is how we met) pretty crazy! hey might come in handy to be friends with someone who works for immigration. :lol: he said the green card will be here in about 2 weeks.

Thanks to everyone here. We've learned so much and saved thousands of dollars in lawyer fees from this forum. Everything went exactly how we planned. I even managed to get my 1 year EAD 2 weeks before my 90 day work permit expired I got from JFK so I was able to keep working which was what we were afraid of the most since. whew what a ride! :dance:

November 2004 - met Kristen online through my internet radio sation

March 01-2005 - I-129F package sent to California Service Centre

March 15-2005 - NOA1 received

April 2-2005 - NOA2 received

April 15-2005 - received checklist and package from montreal embassy

April 27-2005 - checklist and forms mailed back to montreal embassy

May 11-2005 - Went to medical interview and tests @ Toronto clinic

July 13-2005 - Interview DAY! VISA APPROVED!!

Sept 24-2005 - Arrived in Los Angeles. Got 90 day EAD through JFK port of entry

Sept 30-2005 - Kristen and I get married in civil ceremony

Oct 7-2005 - mailed out AOS, AP and EAD applications

Oct 19-2005 - NOA's received for EAD, AP and AOS

Dec 12-2005 - Biometrics taken for EAD and AOS

Dec 19-2005 - EAD approved!

Dec 31-2005 - received AOS interview letter - INTERVIEW DAY FEB 14, 2006

December 13, 2007 - I-751 submitted to NSC (removing of conditions fun begins...)

December 22 - Received a rejection notice because the form was not "properly signed". Package itself was not returned.

January 1, 2008 - Received packet back from CSC. They are requesting we resubmit the packet (which is already organized by CSC) with a properly signed form.

January 2 - Packet resubmitted to California.

January 12 - NOA1 received (dated 01/07/2008)

January 19 - Biometrics appointment notice received (dated 01/15/2008)

February 1 - Biometrics

March 11 - Approved! Card production ordered (notified via e-mail).

March 20, 2008 - New card arrived in the mail :)

Done until 2018 :)

VISA approved 6-22-2004

I-130 approved 8-10-2004

EAD approved 1-6-2005

AOS approved 8-10-2005

Green card received on 8-15-05

Green Card returned because of error...received back from INS on 2-15-06

Citizenship, not applied for...yet.

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.
