8/31/12 - AAO appeal sustained (THANK YOU, GOD FOR YOUR MERCY)

10/8/12 - USCIS sent file to Consulate

11/28/12 - Visa in hand

12/10/12 - HERE AT LAST! (ALL GLORY TO GOD!)

Well we're in the capitol city of San Salvador. Drove 3 hours today from my wife's town. We're chillin in the hotel waiting to head to the embassy in the morning. We've got the first of two interviews tomorrow. The only embassy in the world that schedules two interviews. Supposedly they will review all of the applications and supporting documents tomorrow to see if something else is needed. My question is uhmm....what is USCIS and NVC for? Just to piss us off? Anyway, if they say everything is in order then they will schedule the "real" interview for the following week on the same day. That will be Tue, Dec 8. My wife is pregnant with twins and we just found out a few days ago that she has been exposed to some parasite found in cat poo that causes a blood condition known as toxoplasmosis which if passed to the babies can cause problems. I'm going to explain all of that to them tomorrow and hope we can get a faster "second" interview so we can get this checked out and treated in the States. I'll update tomorrow.

I never knew time could go so slow and so fast at the same time!!! It is all surreal at this point. To think that our spouses could be here in a few weeks is just almost to hard to believe! 7 days and counting until interview. Good luck and God Speed to each and every one of us going through this now and in the future. Happy Holidays everyone!

I suppose that is one method for keeping people from asking dumb a$$ questions about the immigration process, just write USCIS on each electrode... I will bet they will leave you alone thinking you might short circuit or something!!! :rofl::rofl:

Good luck everyone! Two weeks from tomorrow but who's counting... :)

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

08/14/09. - Nvc assigned case #( after 12 long days)

08/17/09 - Ds 3032 emailed to hubby , ( Aos fee bill generated and paid )

08/18/09 - hubby emailed back ds3032

08/22/09 - Aos showed" paid "

08/22/09- IV bill generated ( and paid)

08/23/09- Ds 3032 accepted

08/24/09 -IV bill showed "paid"

08/25/09- Aos overnight

08/28/09- 864 got to nvc

10/01/09- hubby sent ds230

10/06/09- Rfe(grrrrr)

10/08/09 - resend -864

10/09/09- 230 got accepted

10/19/09 - LOG IN FAIL, FAIL,FAIL,FAIL,FAIL ( i did not even know what was going on !!!!!) MY BODY JUST FROZE IN FRONT OF THEPC !!!!

10/20/09- It is "official " per op "case complete" OMG !!!!

11/02/09- INTERVIEW date assigned , email received from nvc (Thankyou ! thankyou ! thankyou ! god!!!!!!! thankyou every one

in vj) (total of 35 working days in nvc)

11/04/09- package left nvc

11/16/09- Medical done and waiting for result

12/10/09- VISA APPROVED (slip given appointment for tuesday to pick up passport )

12/15/09- VISA ON HAND ( praise god )

02/01/10 - POE

03/02/10- Green card arrived

All went well at the first interview. We arrived at 6:30 for our 7:30 interview. Started the line at 7am, entered the building at 8am but only my wife. They wouldn't let me in? I am going to call and see if they allow spouses at the consular interview. I was quite perturbed this morning. So the wife enters at 8am and exits 2.5 hrs later with a yellow piece of paper telling her that the case was complete and they had all the papers needed to schedule her for a consular interview. YOUR KIDDING?!?!? I thought maybe the two months at NVC were in vain. You mean they actually did their job but you made me rent a car, drive three hours to the capitol, stay in a hotel becuase of an early morning interview and waste a whole day so you could tell me that the NVC did their job? Ridiculous, but nonetheless the day is done and we have our "real" interview next Tuesday at 12pm! So 6 days and yes i'm counting.

So kiddies, there is my review of our first interview.

i did enter the embassy for december 1 as re scheduled interview date which the embassy said that they have no record about it...and my visa is APPROVED! but they did not get the record of my medical exam from st lukes and my passport, maybe because i did the advance medical and i also re scheduled the interview date which was december 10..but everything went well... thanks GOD and all the vj members

Sept. 9, 2009 - received approval email from USCIS thru CRIS

Sept. 14, 2009 - NOA2 hardcopy received by husband

Sept. 18, 2009 - case number assigned (NVC process starts)

Nov. 4, 2009 - CASE COMPLETE @NVC!

Nov. 13, 2009 - interview date assigned by NVC

DEC. 10, 2009 AT 6:30AM

re scheduled DECEMBER 1, 2009- INTERVIEW - white slip (passport and medical results from st. luke

Dec 14, 2009 - VISA received

Dec 21, 2009 - USA arrival (POE - San francisco)

Jan. 6, 2010 - SSN received

Jan. 7, 2010 - 2 years GC received
