There have been many couples that have gotten RFEs for not submitting proof of a relationship along with the I-129f form. Although they don't specifically ask for it, the practice of submitting both with the inital petition and at the interview is widely accepted as the best way to a speedy approval.

Sounds good. Keep it simple, you only need proof of meeting, not relationship (yet). Give them what they ask for & that's it because too much is more for them to wade through. Couldn't you just submit the big receipt for pictures, not 2 pages worth? It still proves it, no?

Thank you Yodrak!

I never wondered about the content of my proof, I just asked about staples!

cass,

It's nice to see someone thinking about what evidence they have available in their situation to make the point that is required, rather than worrying about whether they have items from a generic list that may or may not fit with their particular situation.

Dinha,

For holding different items, or groups of different items, together you are correct - it can be difficult to remove staples and the materials can be damaged in the process.

But for holding a single item consisting of multiple pages together, such as Cass is asking about, a staple is acceptable. The pages will not be taken apart and one does want them to be securely fastened together so that they do not inadvertantly come apart.

Thanks for posting this thread, Cass. Like you, we are collecting what we need now and yes, also like you.. we are relying on receipts and things to put us in the same place at the same time. It helps to know what is expected and what is acceptable. Good luck to us both!

Canuck Carrie,

Good thought, do it top-to-bottom since the file is bound at the top.

Double-sided/back to back?

sbgwolf,

Better thought, so that the reviewer doesn't miss something on the back side.

.....

Why not size down the two pages to fit them on one if you want to send them?

People are thinking today!

devilette,

No, the USCIS does not ask for a ring receipt in conjunction with I-129f.

Yodrak

My bad Yodrak, I went by the guides here which says:

3. Copy of engagement ring receipt (this is something that is a big optional - do not worry if you do not have a ring yet!)

See, I read before mailing! :)

Can you show links to such please. I have seen many RFE's for further proof of having met within the required two year period that established the relationship but none that I can recall for this stage of the process specifically requesting evidence of an ongoing relationship.
