NVC questions please help

Hi Folks,

Ours is family based F4 category petition.

My uncle filed for my dad (his brother) in Jan 2000.

Our I130 was approved and case was transferred to NVC which assigned it a case number.

My questions are

1) We did not recieve anything in writing from NVC, i found out the case number by calling the automated voice system.

Does NVC send confirmation letter that case was received?

2) I do not wish to assign any attorney to the case, I would like to handle things.

How do i do that?

3) Current processing date for India in F4 is June 1999. When can things move from NVC side.

4) I have heard NVC starts collecting documents before the date becomes current. If so when.

even i am having a priority date in january in 2000 in F4 but still havent heard anything from the nvc side...if u get to hear it from them then please post a message...by the way if u try to contact the nvc they wont tell u anything except to wait till your priority date becomes current...so its of no use...even my friend having a priority date in december 1999 F4 category hasnt received anything from the nvc...he is waiting anxiously and ya dont worry...they should contact us anytime soon...just remember to post the things when u start receiving anything from the nvc...cheers..

aos fee bill : 9th dec,2009

aos fee shows paid : 14th dec,2009

iv fee bill : 23rd dec,2009

iv fee paid : 23rd dec,2009

iv fee coversheet downloaded : 24th dec,2009

case completed : march 15,2010 and then april 2,2010 again...strange confirmed with operator.

sign in failed : 20th april,2010

interview date assigned on : 29th april,2010.

interview date : 18th june,2010 bombay consulate
