Colonics and intestinal health

I don't remember how we got on the topic here at work, but one of my workmates said that not everything that's in our intestines leaves - instead it attaches itself to the lining of our intestines and over the years creates all kinds of problems. Especially the typical American diet, high fat, low fiber. Then somebody mentioned colonics. Has anyone here had one? Anyone ever heard of Oxy oxc or some other oxygen type laxative? I did a litte searching on Google this morning and I'm thinking of going through some kind of intestinal cleansing. Are there any do's and don'ts?

My sister had a high-colonic before. Not for me...

I bought oxy-powder and it works great. Take it for a week and clean your self out!!! Careful.. don't sh!t your pants.

Apparently the colonic only cleans out the lower (shortest) part of the intestine. There are detox pills you can get and detox programmes to provide a more thorough cleansing.

I use Watkins Inner Cleanse & Restore It works great. No painful cramps or rushing to the toilet either. Its gentle but effective. And not expensive either.

No. Eat what you want. You take it at night so you evacuate in the morning. Any food you take with the oxy-powder would be flushed out so that's why you take it before bed.

To clarify.. you won't sh!t your pants but when you go it will be liquid and it will look/smell funky.

Um...I looked up colonics because I got curious...

This shows stuff that came out during a colon cleansing... If you are brave, have a look. Don't blame me if you gag! I didn't, but some may.
