This past weekend, I flew into MSP airport on my way back from visiting my Craig in Ontario, and got the NICEST CBP officer I've ever had. He was cordial and nice and made small talk with me. He was interested in how my flight and my trip were, and made sure to remind me that in January I'd need a passport (I still travel only with my birth certificate). He actaully looked me in the eye and smiled during all the questions.

So, here's to hoping that all of the MSP CBP officers are just as nice, and that they are just as nice to people coming in on a K1!

Well, my MSP experience was rather unpleasant. But that was in 2001... maybe the guy is gone by now

Marlene's POE on the K1 was MSP. The only question they asked her was how her flight was. Very smooth.

I've made 2 vacation trips through MSP (2004 & 2005) on VWP and the 1 trip with the K1-visa. I found it easier going through with the K1-visa, when entering on the VWP in MSP I found the 2 POE officers to be incredibly rude and tried to trip me up as much as they could even though I was being polite and honest to them.

Cass I'm glad you had an easy run of it at MSP!

Lucky you! I had mean immigration officers both times I came through on VWP last year at MSP, as did a friend who came to visit. Never again. I made sure my K1 POE was a different airport.
