Hi everyone.

I would like to know how soon can I know the result after submited my 221(g)? what are the chances for visa will be granted?

The consulate requested the following documents:

(1) Birth certificate (Original or certified copy) for beneficiary's child

(2) Name change certificate (Original or certified copy) for beneficiary's child.

(3) A written acknowlegement from petitioner for beneficiary's child.

I will submit all these documents on Friday afternoon between 1 pm to 3 pm at the embassy.

Bill,

Took 2 weeks for my wife. But there was an unusual circumstance involved - the day after she submitted the additional documentation that had been requested her case officer and much of the rest of the consular staff left town for a week and a half due to a confluence of Thai and US holidays that made it an ideal time to take an extended holiday while using up only a few vacation days.

(This is a good question to ask your attorney - he has extensive experience with the consulate in question.)

Bill

Hi Yodrak.

2 weeks is very long time. I hope the embassy not taking along vacation. I don't want to change my travel plan. I have my flight booked for BKK on July 27. I hope she will have her visa by then.

Hi Yodrak

No, this time one of Mr.White staff submited documents for us. But the officer wished to review the documents. I'm not sure what it mean. My question is: Am I on Administration Review? Mr. White told me that it could take 1 week to 2 week to complete. I'm very disappointed. Here are the documents that were submited:

(1) Birth certificate (Original or certified copy) for beneficiary's child

(2) Name change certificate (Original or certified copy) for beneficiary's child.

(3) A written acknowlegement from petitioner for beneficiary's child.

I thought, after submited document, then visa should be issued.
