Would you believe that it seems that the immigration just waited for my bday oct 22 to approve my EAD and AP? Ive been waiting for it like crazzzzyyy. But yeah it got approved on my bday. However, they said they mailed it Oct 28 and follow directions on it. can anybody explain to me what will that say? what does it contain? I believe it should be the same as what others got. Is that the card already and can I now apply for work? so by the time it comes in, I can just show that to my potential employer and start right away? I want to start working already thats why. Can anybody tell me if i can start applying already? Thanks

It is not illegal to apply for a job without EAD. What's important is that you have the EAD when asked for proof that you are authorized to work.

You might get the EAD (card) and/or AP in the mail next week, maybe even today or tomorrow.

it looks like a GC in some ways, it has your personal info and indicates that you are authorized to work in the US.

that's exactly what you show to potential employers and what they do is double check with govt agencies to make sure info on the EAD is true and correct

yes, you can already start applying for a job, just make sure the EAD is available when you're asked to come in for an interview
