can someone tell me a good way to send mail to the USA from Bicol Philippines?

Try asking in the Phils regional forum found lower down on the main page.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

When she goes for her passport photo, have them take about 15. Not one, not two...fifteen. You will need them before it is over. You will only need to sdend one with the I-129f

Keep in mind though, they DO say the photos cannot be older than 6 months so by the time comes to use them all it might be passed that timeline :) I guess you could say they have no way of checking timestamps and whatnot but when dealing with USCIS it's always best to do what they ask :)

when we started this process we had photos taken of Alla and the two boys, in February of 2008. I was susing the same photos in July of 2009 when we finally sent the AOS for the oldest boy's K-2 to follow AOS. No problems.

The photos are not dated and as long as there are no major changes in appearance it would not be a problem

I was wondering if I actually must send in a G-325A for my fiance and do I really need to send in passport-style photograph of my fiance? I don't have these and I just left her country? She can't turn these in during her interview? please help me. Thank you.

Yes, you actually must. You need to send in EVERYTHING they ask for. There is no exceptions here, and you must remember that immigration makes the rules and what they expect. We don't get to decide. You better have your fiance go get passport pics taken somewhere that she lives and send to you. Also you need to fill out ALL the proper paperwork for her. I even needed to send my fiance the papers requiring her to sign her name, and even though it was only a few papers, I needed to send them fed ex and have her send them back the same way, just so I could include them with our I-129F. Good Luck!

is it possible that she fill out the G-325A by herself and sign them then send everything to me or do I have to fill it out for her then send it? I Would also like to know how long it usually takes to send something from the Philippines to the US.

Sure, do that. And when she makes a mistake, she can do it all over again. Good idea.

My advice reamins. ONE person fills out ALL forms. Have her sign and send BLANK forms.

You both need your own G-325A's to fill out.... If you are doing the paperwork, the forms should be sent to you - signed meaning she should sign her own and you sign your own.

Exactly. Have her send BLANK forms with her signature. You fill them out. Get the information from her and enter it on the form, by hand, in ink.

Ok I have 1 last question....for the letter of intent to marry does it have to be in our own words, does it have to be long, short, or can I just use the example on this website and just make a few edits? I guess my real question is does the letter have to sound like she wrote it?

Generic letter of intent from this site will work (with just switching the names and addresses around for her letter and for your letter). Don't forget to change 'within 90 days of MY arrival' to 'within 90 days of HER arrival' where appropriate.

is it possible that she fill out the G-325A by herself and sign them then send everything to me or do I have to fill it out for her then send it?

How good is her english, and how much is she familiar with filling out forms in English?

When my SO was filling out forms for her P4 she kept asking me what she needed to fill out in the blanks that were beyond the 'Do not write below this line' message....(she misses that line, but she is the one who pointed out to me that I forgot to switch the names on the letters of intent)

Having her sign blank forms for you to enter the information in is one option. Another option is for you to fill them out for her and then put post-it notes on the forms with arrows pointing to where she needs to sign. With this second option she can see what information you put in and might catch some errors that YOU did, for example if there was any confusion when she was giving you all the required information over the telephone (like addresses of former employers or addresses she's lived before).

Is there an average time that the I-129F form thing gets completed or is it completely random?

3-5 months I think is what most people have got. But I have seen one case fly through it in a month, a few others in two. It has seemed to be moving faster for recent filers, but that could be temporary.

Thanks a lot. I really appreciate it. Very useful in formation. I hope no one minds that I ask more questions in this post in the future. I'm really enjoying this help. Thank you once again. Everyone is so supportive and kind.
