I see very few touches, I see very few approvals, including new and older petitions and recalled cases. So I ask myself, what in the hell are they doing?

They are probably calculating the fee increase to compensate for their decrease in productivity ;) After all, our fees are supposed to cover all processing costs, right ? Now they sc**w up and effectively waste a few months of 2006. This means that fewer petitions will be approved. But no, nobody will get a pay cut. Guess who will pay...

Honestly, I have been increasingly thinking that this might be a story for the news to cover. We need something to get a buzz in the community or the powers that be engaged in the inefficiencies at the CSC location because right now they are like a deer in headlights. :help:

Does anyone have any contacts at the Washington Post or New York Times so we can pitch a story? One well placed article can spur a lot of reaction and folks jumping to attention. Many o' government agencies have had to change their tune after a media spotlight was put on them.

Also, with this being an election year, politicos would jump on the outrage wagon if there were enough sob stories.

I dont know anyone, but I would think that just giving the right person links to a few good threads would draw enough interest. I mean there is enough information at the fingertips to get it started...A few stats, a few good sad stories, a few nonsense letters from USCIS, then the USCIS avoiding making a public statement regarding the article. Even better would be a senators office spokesman saying, 'they keep saying this, but never coming through. This issue needs addressed'....I would love to see it on the news.

I see very few touches, I see very few approvals, including new and older petitions and recalled cases. So I ask myself, what in the hell are they doing?

I know we're only a small portion of k1 petitions in the various service centers, but c'mon, it's just a bit odd that most haven't even been touched in weeks.

I think they've sent the RFE's back to the DHS for the actual background checks.

But that still doesn't explain why vermont started issuing Noa2s so soon after their RFEs

The USCIS is part of DHS they don't need to send anything anywhere else for that.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

Vermont has ALWAYS been the fastest service center. Unless you attribute it to the volume they receive compared to the other service centers, you'll give yourself a headache trying to figure out why.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

It took USCIS almost four months (after law went into effect) to add IMBRA questions to I-129F and the same time to send out the RFE's to pending applications. One might guess that they are trying now to figure out what to do with the RFE's received.

In my case and many others, processing of the application is complete. They even enclosed the A# on the RFE. It is just a matter of rubber stamping once a decision has been made how to handle the RFE's. Hopefully soon, a flood of approvals will come for us all at the same time.

If we have some cases approved, doesn´t that mean they already know how to handle the RFE?
