Now that this has been done, about how long does it take to receive the first NOA? I am looking at the flow chart and the typical time is 2-3 weeks but our check was cashed in a matter of days. Is this a good thing? I'm a nervous wreck and as giddy as a school girl! :energy:

I married my British Husband strictly for financial purposes. My heart wrote a check and I cashed it. (L)

My check was cashed quickly as well. No need to worry. At this point, once you get the NOA1, you won't hear anything from them unless you have an RFE or when the petition is approved. Don't let that worry you as well. It is just part of the process...

I'm not worried.. I'm excited!!! :goofy: I was just wondering if they cashed the check that fast, about how long after that do you receive the NOA in the mail. I was just wondering what to expect next.

Hello... Congrats on getting your petition sent off. I'm linking a thread that I think you'll want to have a look at: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=221572 It's a group of October K1 filers who are going through the Vermont Service Center. You'll be able to compare your progress there with others in the same situation.

Good luck!

no process/procedural issues, case filing report - moving to K-1 Filing and Progress Reports

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

Department of State Visa Forms with Usage Rights Enabled

The PDF versions of the visa forms posted by the Department of State on its website do not allow entries to be saved using Adobe Reader. This can make it very difficult for couples to work together on completing the forms. I have downloaded the forms and enabled usage rights in Acrobat Professional. These forms are current and exactly the same as the Department of State website, only they allow you to save your entries. Forms currently available:
