hello there!

firstly i love this site. our visa process was very quick and smooth, but i know it would have been different had it not been for the wealth of information i found here. absolutely brilliant. thanks to the countless people whose posts guided me through our process.

soooooo we are preparing to move very soon to America...visa has been approved and we are ready to do some serious planning.

we are in the middle of getting quotes from moving companies here in Spain....we dont have a lot, but it is our whole house we are more or less moving, so we need to have it done professionally. just wondering if anyone has had experience doing this and can recommend a good moving company based in Spain?

thanks in advance!

Hello,

Do not know how much money you intend to spend, but by far the cheapest way to do it (if you currently live, and will live, somewhat close to a port city) is to pack your things up and do it your self by buying space on a container ship. Sometimes you can get prices as low as 900 dollars for a 26 foot by 10 by 10 container. If you have to much stuff, you can just hire someone to help out packing and then rent a huge u-haul truck when you get to the us.
