- while I was there I saw alot of people wearing jeans and dressy type shirts. a dude in jeans and a flannel shirt  I saw a woman in pajama pants and a crusty looking hoody carrying a baby. I saw another younger couple with pajama pants on and just regular tshirts. there was a woman with a suit on.

so.. large variety? i would just suggest stay away from the pajamas... lol  ( whn i say pj pants i mean neon pink with unicorns. fleecy/flannel type material  )

 ....pyjamas I like!....(heck, I'm even wearing some as I type...pink coloured flannel ones with kitty cats on them, anyone?...)

Lol..While I may like pjs...I don't think that the USCIS will like them....(and I'll get denied wearing such, anyhow)

Can't use the excuse of "I just got up and forgot to wear something nice" either...for an interview in the afternoon...lol....

Hmmm..I'm really going to think hard about this, and figure out what to wear for the interview and oath ceremony...(which are both in the fall/winter seasons....think: Canadian-like weather here...)

Anyone any more ideas? Help!

It's gonna be cold. Cause anything below 18C is cold. I probably will buy a pair of pants before the interview while J is here (he's coming up in a few days). I'm going to aim for pants that fit

Well, and not too fussed up. Pants I can wear again.

And then a few layers on top, again stuff that fits. Layers so I can be warm enough outside.

It'll probably end up being business casual-ish. Maybe a step below that. Somewhere between office- and school-casual.

Or a jumpsuit with stars and stripes on it.

Let's pick Sean out of the crowd!

gino1.jpg

I have to ask you all.

What IS with that Gino/douchebag phenomenon? I live in TO and I have never seen on in real life.

I hear they're all over Jersey though!!!!

*Runs*

Reminds me of a Stevie B concert.

I was dressed very business like because it made me feel confident.

ok this one's only about six months old..............I'm a normal human being now.....

That is an absolutely adorable picture Sean!

I interviewed in November in Vancouver, and it was fairly cool, and slushy. I'm kind of "old-school" I guess, and wore business dress. Dress slacks, blouse, blazer, dress shoes, earrings...the works. lol I would dress as you would to say a job interview. Just my opinion.

Here's what I'm going to wear....this is a pic of me from 9 years ago at a party-try and tell me that shirt isn't a collectable. Ok I'm not actually going to wear the shirt. Actually I can't believe I ever did wear it. IT WAS A PHASE OK.

I'm pretty sure this would raise a few questions in the consul's mind though....

OMG, Sean.

My husband and I wore business casual, because that's what we felt most comfortable in. :)

I can't say that we'll be going to the AoS interview in "whats most comfortable", for us, that would be shorts, flip flops and a t-shirt. I do think that business casual is most appropriate. The way I look at it, your interviewer has the authority to accept or deny us, so I should show the proper respect.

None the less, they are working in a professional office setting. I wouldn't go to a work meeting dressed in pajamas bottoms and a t-shirt, so I certainly wouldn't go to my AoS or Visa interview dressed that way.

My Husband wore jeans and a button up shirt or khakis - hmm can't really remember now. Nothing fancy, just what he would normally wear to say - go shopping.

Well I'm pretty much in agreement with alot of you, I was going to wear a nice pair of jeans, with a button up collared longsleeve shirt..........and white shoes. I love white shoes. They are the BOMB.

I guess that would be called 'DressyCasual' which I believe is formally known as 'preppy'. I think if I showed up in a full suit I would just feel fake. I just want to be myself at the interview, show them that we are just good people trying to live our lives-the kind of people that you want to move into your country. Of course, I did love Deadpools outfit suggestion. I'd be interested to see how the security guards reacted.

 ..Oh so true, indeed! We pay them (a lot..those application fees aren't cheap!)...so technically they are our "employees"....

On that note, any ideas as to how the USCIS officials should dress?.....

Personally, I don't like the "dress like a cop" thing....seems too intimidating at times...lol....though they have "immigration authority"...so I guess cop outfit it is...

Makes for a good halloween costume?...USCIS officer...lol....I wonder how many tricks or treats that would get a person?

Because Converse is amazing. But I only have Puma shoes at the moment that I...''borrowed'' from my mum. :P
