Just got home from our local SSA Office to follow up regarding my SSN application however it's still pending since my EAD hasn't been verified yet. I applied for my SSN a day after I got my EAD card so I know it will take a while however it's been over a month; even the nice guy at the SSA office was also wondering why it's taking for the Department of Homeland Security too long... Has anyone been through this? What is the best thing on my part to do? Will calling Homeland Security expedite things?

Man I'm so regretting not getting SSN before my I-94 expired. :bonk:
