I had my husband send me all his original documents to me then I mailed them out. I even had the cover letter that he signed, but I dated the ds-230 because we had done it ahead of time..

I am just hoping that we don't have an RFE coming my way!! :unsure:

Nah. They were closed today for holiday and will get to you Thurs or Friday.

I'm with you all as well...wish I had found this forum couple months ago...all the freakin' misinformation before this forum delayed me.

I would've had my wife get all the Passport PCC and district office PCC and I would have been good to go.....

TwistedK, did you send PCC from Passport and PCC from Local Police Station? Where are you from India?

yeah, i did the cover letter, but signed it under my name. but i think for yours since you have to explain missing documents, maybe you should write the letter. again, he can put the date on it.

thanks about having the documents early, but unfortunately, i didn't realize at the time that india requires 2 different police certificates. so we got the dreaded rfe. it only took him a few hours to get it, but it caused a delay in our case completion :( but they have it on file now. so the hardest part is waiting again.

you could do like we did, since your hubby will be sending it to nvc for you. i just added the date after the iv bill arrived, and sent it on. i had his ds230 ready to go since may. :lol: before we even sent off the i130 :yes:

Thanks :) Did you send a covering letter on his behalf as well, as I do need to explain that, as per state dept guidelines, a certain document is unobtainable. I'd rather state the obvious in a single sentence in a covering letter than get an RFE asking why is something missing! I suppose my husband can add the date to that too.

By the way, very impressed that you had the forms done that ahead of time!!! Well done you :)

So Mumbai is already booked for December? Meaning those who get scheduled this week and the fourth week will get their interview dates in January 2010?

Correct, December scheduling is complete for Mumbai. They only post the file on the website once all open slots have been filled. January scheduling wont happen till end of November now.

Even Chennai has November schedules only listed on their website.

yeah, i sometimes wish mumbai and new delhi treat the same, but they don't. mumbai has already put their december schedules online. new delhi still has november only. so not only does it depend on the country, but it depends on the consulates within the same country.

Raj, I had my AVR saying checklist letter received on 10/31..all the way until today when if FINALLY changed to an RFE....so I called and talked to a really nice woman OP who told me that they needed the original arabic birth certificate.... It was a red flag for me for not getting a case complete or sign on failed after 10 days....

Raj, I am the USC, my husband is in Delhi. We originally submitted only the police clearance, and later received the RFE requesting the passport pcc. mumbai will permit you to bring the passport pcc to the interview, whereas delhi requires it at the nvc level. i have only seen one other person on here with delhi who was able to bypass. i am not sure about chennai. good luck to you.
