Pretty sad though that I have been in NVC for October, November and now December!!

Don't worry, you're not the only one...and what with the holidays coming up, I'm fairly certain I'll be there in January too!!

I got an interview date. 25th January. Our case was complete 19th November so looks like it is 2 months till interview. The 10 - 12 weeks on website isn't far off.

That's not bad at all! If those lovely people at NVC had completed your case before 2nd week of November, do you think you would have got a December interview? That would have been a 4-6 week wait perhaps.

Way back when we started in July, I thought it realistic for us to have the visa in hand by the end of December, and in fact, there are plenty of people that will (hopefully :) ) have achieved that. Our application has been a little slower than most, no one knows why, but if it's all over in January (highly unlikely) or February it's still better than the 10 months we were initially expecting :)

How's New England? The weather here is expected to dip below freezing tonight :)

New England was great as usual but unfortunately I'm back already. I got back yesterday. Only 3 weeks and 2 days till I'm over there again.

Most people seem to get interview dates less than a month in advance and mine is nearly 2 months so it looks like London really is backlogged. I was expecting 9 months to a year but from NOA1 to interview date is 10 days short of 6 months so we can't complain.

You need the interview date to do so. One moment. I';ll get the info,. :P

If you're really #######, paranoid, or just a busybody, you can track the package status. You can use the date after your interview was assigned, as the tracking reference date, and then do a search on DHL. The format to use is "EXP 07 OCT 2008A" don't forget the spaces...and to set the date range on the tracking page. The website for tracking is. http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackByRef The package may not go out on the next day, but the reference code will still be for that date. When your package is able to be tracked, it will make more sense. You'll see a list of packages going to different embassies. You'll know which one is yours.

Aww well how soon afterwards do you get word when you call the AVR and it states that it is completed in the NVC??
