It's funny how everything goes out of my head after being almost done with all of this! I had to go back and look at emails. The AOS bill and the 3032 form are generated in the same email. The NVC case # is on the form-not a separate bar code number if that's what you're asking. We didn't create a barcode or anything like that. My hubby filled that out, scanned it and I fedexed the copy. He emailed it just like the shortcut shows. Some people only email it (and I mean the version on the shortcut-not attaching it as a copy). If you follow the shortcut links, everything will be fine! We got through this process fast. We used VJ and the shortcuts exactly...the only problem is, I'm forgetting everything! ha!

Sorry FinnLove, but not everyone who uses the shortcuts is going to fly through! I used James' template and emailed the response within an hour of receiving the DS-3032 on 5th November, and sent the hardcopy priority mail, and neither has been accepted yet.

Yes they are open Today, i called them and spoke with them today.

Thank you Muslimqueen! I really appreciate your quick response! Thanks a lot! Will ask hubby to call them.

Btw, about the DS 3032 barcode strip, can i do it now or i still need to wait until it was generated? I am planning to email and send it through FedEx.

Thanks again.

I dont think i understand what your asking. are you talking about the (AOS) bill if so no you cant Email and fedex the DS-3032 now. The (AOS) BILL and the barcode document cover sheet is for the I-864 or (AOS) fourm. Hope i helped.

If you need any help please let me know ill be glad to help.

Oh, I was asking about the barcode strip that you have to put on the DS 3032 form. There should be like a barcode strip that will be put horizontally on top of the DS 3032 form right?

Sorry for the confusion.

Metro, hopefully you know how to email the 3032-you don't need a barcode for the email version. And they have your email addresses, right? You should never wait for snail mail at all! That'll hold you up forever. Everything is done via email. Here's the link on how to send it via email. My hubby did it that way, and I fedexed his scanned copy (doesn't need an original signature either). I don't know which one they approved, but it was fast.

Hello Finnlove,

Thank you for your message!

I know that I don't need barcode strip for the email and I have the template for the email too (but thanks), I was asking about the hard copy to be send to NVC.I have a friend sho suggested to send it through email even without their email after the case has been assigned, do you think I should send it through email now and send the hard copy at the same time or after we received the email from NVC? Is it fine to email NVC without any instruction from them yet?

Thanks a lot!

Oh sorry-I guess I'm a little confused. Did you actually get the email with the AOS bill and the 3032 attached? Don't send it before you get the email. It's a good idea to send a hard copy also-some people get that approved before the email (though I don't know how you figure out which one was appoved!). But definitely don't email it or send a hard copy to NVC without getting their email first. Don't do anything ahead of time!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

That was pretty fast Tree! Mine took 14 days-yours took 23...it might have slowed down a little but it's still good! You also had two holidays thrown in there! :)

Said as a true government employee :P :P Yeah, less than their specified processing times, but longer than practically everyone else on here at the moment! It's not just you that's impatient you know ;)

When are you flying out to see Mr FL? I'm hoping to visit the US next week to see Mr Tree - he's been to the UK three times this year and used up all his holidays, so it's my turn now :)
