Just a word of caution to the new NVC'rs. The NVC portion is pretty straightforward, I think, and you do have some control over the speed of things. But I think it's for that very reason that it is actually the most stressful part of the process thus far! Things happen quickly for some and not for others, so just because you see that somebody made it through in 20 days, don't assume that's going to happen for you. Otherwise, it can really get to you.

There seems to be an unexplainable delay sometimes, despite the older posts indicating that the NVC is really efficient. I think maybe they've become quite busy with the many recent approvals. Plus, we're calling them way too much, and I think perhaps some of them are just plain sick of us, and less apt to be friendly.

Hello, I'm trundling over from October and joining November too...I definitely agree, we had to wait 29 days before actually getting the first emails, whereas most get it in a day or two. I do wonder about the efficacy of constantly calling them. Anyway, now we're waiting for the DS-3032 and the AOS bill to both be accepted. All our papers are ready, and as far as I know even the I-864EZ has been filled. Any more delays won't be down to us! Good luck everybody :)

I'm joining this one as well. It's stressfull cause I have no idea when we will be sending the papers, both the aos and the ds-230. We still have some things pending, so I have to wait for hubby to work them out there, then I have to fill the papers here and mail him... it's going to take forever... I read these forums everyday and everyday they depress me more with so many people having interviews and cases completes who have filed after us so... yeah...

I like the recessed ceilings in the apartments, but the kitchen doesent seem to have a lot of cabinet space (Or I just have a $hitload of kitchen gadgets and dishes...)... Good luck with the hunting.

Hubby and I are going to buy a house in Feburary or March (before the tax credit expires)... Plus I need more space (more kitchen cabinets and counter space...lol... But I do need more room and an office, sick of working in my bedroom!!!

Oooooh! Good luck! My husband and I are planning to get a house once he retires or when I get tired of being shipped around. Whichever comes first! I just found out about BAH today...(Basic Housing Allowance) and it turns out we get $892 to put towards rent, utilities etc! I'm so excited. ^_^ And as long as I have room for my baking bowls/tools and a full plate set for a family of 4 then I will be overjoyed! Oh, and I want a skillet.
