Ok, Yes you have to past the barcode have you created and printed the barcode yet?

Yeah, I know i have to past it on that form, I am the beneficiary so I am the one who will do it. I have note created and printed the barcode yet, i don't know if i can do it now or wait until the email has been sent to us.

You are such a big help, thanks for your time.

I didn't make a barcode for mine. I just took a black sharpie marker and wrote in the box where I could have made the barcode. I tried to make one that shows on James short cut but it came really small so I just use the marker.

Good luck~

I sent out the RFE form and paperwork today so hopefully the NVC will get it Monday and hopefully put our case back on track!!:thumbs: I'm ready for a login failed!!!! :star:

Ok if you have not printed the Barcode this is what you do

First go to this site: http://www.idautomation.com/java/linearservlet.html

And then do the following

Type in YOUR case number under "Data to encode."

Under "Barcode symbology," select CODE 39.

Select "No" for "Add check digit"

Select "No" for "Add check digit to text"

Select "YES" for "Show text below barcode."( Show human readable text)

Change the "X dimension" (bar width) to 0.05

Change the "Barcode bar height" to 0.5

Click on "Create Barcode."

Print out the result from the resulting pop-up window, cut out the barcode and case number below it, and paste it (with glue, dont tape it) in the horizontal box on the DS-3032.

Hope this helps

I got this from James's shortcuts.

Every email that I have ever gotten from the NVC has always been several days past the time that I saw on the website. I watched the website and saw when the aos bill was available to pay and then once it was paid I was able to print out the cover letter. Then I saw that the IV bill was available to be paid but with this one I waited for 5 days to see if I would get the email first. Alot of people paid the IV bill before they got the email saying it was available and they had a delay for it. Even with me waiting 5 days after seeing it online, I didn't get the email and ending up paying it. I figured that a 5 day delay was long enough, and sure enough, the email came the next day saying that I could pay it!

Yes they are open Today, i called them and spoke with them today.

Thank you Muslimqueen! I really appreciate your quick response! Thanks a lot! Will ask hubby to call them.

Btw, about the DS 3032 barcode strip, can i do it now or i still need to wait until it was generated? I am planning to email and send it through FedEx.

Thanks again.

I dont think i understand what your asking. are you talking about the (AOS) bill if so no you cant Email and fedex the DS-3032 now. The (AOS) BILL and the barcode document cover sheet is for the I-864 or (AOS) fourm. Hope i helped.

If you need any help please let me know ill be glad to help.

Oh, I was asking about the barcode strip that you have to put on the DS 3032 form. There should be like a barcode strip that will be put horizontally on top of the DS 3032 form right?

Sorry for the confusion.

Metro, hopefully you know how to email the 3032-you don't need a barcode for the email version. And they have your email addresses, right? You should never wait for snail mail at all! That'll hold you up forever. Everything is done via email. Here's the link on how to send it via email. My hubby did it that way, and I fedexed his scanned copy (doesn't need an original signature either). I don't know which one they approved, but it was fast.

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

Timeline

It's funny how everything goes out of my head after being almost done with all of this! I had to go back and look at emails. The AOS bill and the 3032 form are generated in the same email. The NVC case # is on the form-not a separate bar code number if that's what you're asking. We didn't create a barcode or anything like that. My hubby filled that out, scanned it and I fedexed the copy. He emailed it just like the shortcut shows. Some people only email it (and I mean the version on the shortcut-not attaching it as a copy). If you follow the shortcut links, everything will be fine! We got through this process fast. We used VJ and the shortcuts exactly...the only problem is, I'm forgetting everything! ha!

Hello Finnlove,

Thank you for your message!

I know that I don't need barcode strip for the email and I have the template for the email too (but thanks), I was asking about the hard copy to be send to NVC.I have a friend sho suggested to send it through email even without their email after the case has been assigned, do you think I should send it through email now and send the hard copy at the same time or after we received the email from NVC? Is it fine to email NVC without any instruction from them yet?

Thanks a lot!

Hello Muslimqueen,

thank you so much, i did not notice this message, maybe we posted almost at the same time. So I can create and print the barcode even they have not mailed us anything?

Just want to make sure before doing it.

Has the (AOS) bill been generated?

No AOS bill generated yet, is there any other way to know if it has been generated aside from the email?

Call them and ask them this is also what the shortcuts page says

You need to keep checking NVC Automated Messages during this time.

The NVC phone message will say something like: "...NVC will mail...the beneficiary..." OR "DS3032 and AOS Fee Bill has been generated on________"

So one's they said there gotta send you the email or mail you can send it call them to be sure.

Im here if you need any more help

thanks a lot for your assistance. I will try to call NVC and check if I can print the Case Barcode Strip this time. I might need your assistance with I-864 and RE: co-sponsor. I think this part will make the process slower.

I appreciate your help, you have been very helpful. Thanks a lot.

Ok no problem! im here if u need help

Hello, I called NVC and they said that the barcode will be sent through email so no need to print at this moment. They also mentioned that we should be getting email by next week and if not, we need to call them back. Thanks a lot for your kind assistance.

No problem. but you can go ahead and send It by Email now if you want, cuz there read in a first come first serve kidda thing. If you want, or you could wait for that too.

But me i would send now i learned my lession i waited way to long to send it and look at me now i sent it by email 20 days ago! and still nothing. i hope by next week it will be accepted. *sigh*

Hello MuslimQueen,

I know they will accept it soon. I know I asked Finnlove about it but do you think it is really fine to send it through email now even without any email from them and send the Hardcopy later on? Sorry, but i was just confuse, cause I have a friend who send it right away and they did not have any problem but another member from VJ (from Philippines) send it right away but she said she was asked to send the DS 3032 form even she emailed it.

Sorry, we are just starting on the NVC so I don't really know what to do.

Thanks for your help.
