I think were moving pretty fast just think the other thinks like DS-230 And (AOS) dont take that long its just the DS-3032 giving people trouble. they just got backed up like during nov. And what's AP.AR?

And how do you know if you have to do it?

Super good luck vibes for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AP is additional processing, and AR is administrative review, and I don't think that many people actually know the difference between the two (I certainly don't) but they both mean that the case takes longer at the embassy stage for more information / extra checks. It could happen to anyone from any country at any embassy, but embassies in certain countries are more likely to do so, eg Cairo.

And no, still no invoice. How about you?

Nope no Invoice i was almost positvie you would have gotten your invoice lol. And i have not heard of many people getting it in Jordan but i think my cousin have be going threw it cuz she started her case a year before mine!! and she is still in NVC i got no idea what is going on with her, but she dose not keep cheking on it like me lol im like obssesed about checking

YAY. And now the long wait at Montreal begins...

Yeah... I know. With the domicile issues going on, too, it's going to be a bit scary.

Montreal: BEAT!!! Approved!!!!!

Yeah...that's scaring me too mainly because we're young and we don't have much to work with. I am hoping him being in the US Army for the next 6 years will be sufficient. But I am positive that you will be fine Mal, just prepare in advance and get as much proof lined up as you can and follow the people who are going through domicile problems now.

Luckily for me, I suppose, is that the domicile problems right now are dealing with people who were in Canada temporarily and are not able to use the reestablishment clause - they have to prove that they maintained their domicile. It's just freaking my husband out because he really hates it here.

As far as you guys - you'll be fine. Your husband is on base in a foreign country, but that is still considered to be the US and he has living quarters of some sort in the US, right? You've got nothing to worry about. :)

Well he still lives in the barracks, he see's no point in getting a place for us yet because well...I'm not there yet and he'd rather be in the barracks with company and alone in an apartment. He's silly. So once I get my interview date, he will find a place for us! And if I somehow get my interview before he get's home then I'll go to Las Vegas and stay with my mother in law...and then he'll send me a Power of Attorney, and I'll be able to get my Military ID and set a place up, etc. We're in line for on post housing, so we'll see what happens.

Hello! I'm new here and new to VJ.

We first filed in May 2008 (yup, that's 2008), procastinated and now it's Nov 2009. LOL. Our case is at the NVC for the last year or so. We paid all the fees so now we're gathering all the documents for the AOS and DS-230 and hope to send it off by the end of this year.

Happy NVC journey, everyone! :-)

Welcome to VJ! If you have any questions fell free to ask them, we will be happy to help you out!

Thanks, Muslimqueen. I do have few questions if you and others could be so kind to answer:

1) Why is everyone happy when they get a "login failure"?

2) What do I do with supporting documents (e.g. proofs of financial integration, wedding & vacation photos, communication, etc)? Do I bring them to the Interview?

1.Login failure is an indication that the case has been completed at NVC, and usually happens a day or two before the official confirmation.

2. Yeah, it's usually a good idea to take those to the interview, they rarely ask for them in the UK, but one would rather have it on them then and there then not and delay a visa finally being approved!!

I made copies of everything that I sent in to the USCIS and the NVC and mailed it to my husband to take with him for the interview. That way he will have everything with him. He also has 2 photo albums made up, one of the wedding and reception and the other of my visit to Egypt. He also has copies of emails, phone records, snail mail that I had sent him for the past year and a half! Better to be safe than sorry not having everything!!

That's right Tree!! Egypt is well known for putting people in AP/AR. Muslimqueen you can check the forums in the MENA part of VJ, there is a strong possibility of your SO getting AP/AR too, being from Jordan. Talk to people who has used the embassy that your husband will be using. They should beable to tell you more!

Good luck!
