Keep checking to see when the IV fee bill comes available... Lately it has been 14 days from sent to when the IV fee bill is available so you should be due any day now!!!

Thanks, christeen...my husband checks the payment portal daily....here's hoping you're right and that email is accepted any day now :)

Don't despair yet. They seem to always over exaggerate the times. Pretty much they always say 6-8 weeks but then I look at what other people are saying and it is usually quicker than they say.

For whatever reason we are usually amoung the last ones whenever people move to the next step. I really can understand the frustration. I always feel happy for my VJ friends but a bit sad for me when it happens. Try not to let it get to you. When it does feel free to vent. ;)

Thanks :) Don't get me wrong - I'm very happy seeing everyone get through. It was frustrating seeing people get their NOA2 before us, even those from the supposedly high risk countries, but hey, USCIS is USCIS...but to see us fall behind at NVC which is reportedly much more straightforward, and with the holiday season upon us :crying: My anxiety is much, much less about going to the US, and more about those dependent on me in the UK, and the uncertainty is affecting their already poor health, badly :(

Never mind, I've got you two to test the waters in London re interview times ;)

Join the club  The operator said they deal with emails on a first come, first served basis...I sent my email on the 5th, so when it's hopefully accepted any minute now, you'll know you're a step closer ;)

I know I'm shooting myself in the foot here, but it'd be really nice if someone could be helpful and answer a legitimate question about whether they found any difficulties with NVC accepting a form by email...after all if we can compare how long it goes from login fails to formal notification of case complete, when it's pretty much redundant by that time...but hey perhaps we're all so busy celebrating we forget those that have been left behind. It's pretty upsetting to see that although we were approved at the same time, if not before, most people on here, and we're a straightforward case with no RFEs etc, we're now probably going to be lucky if we get a case complete in January. And no, it's not just about wanting to be with my spouse, just like everyone else on here, but the responsibility of also trying to arrange for the lifelong care of a rather sick parent with complex issues at this end.

Sorry, rant over!!

 Thanks for the rememberance Tree! Yes, it is hard to see all my peeps celebrate their case complete, but I am really excited for everyone getting through the NVC! I know that eventually I will get through too.

I am sorry you have the extra worry of finding care for your parent, that would be the hardest for me too. My husband has only his mom left, and I know that he is very close with her. Luckily he has brothers and sisters around her too. I couldn't imagine leaving my mom in a whole different country!

I'm leaving behind 2 elderly parents who are both in poor health and a 12 year old autistic son. We all have to make tough decisions but it is our lives and we have to do what's right for us. I am moving from a country I love and you are leaving a city you love to go to an alien land. At least New England is similar to the UK but you are going somewhere totally different. How will you cope with all that sunshine and hardly any rain?

Yes! He's so excited but he hates that Canada is so backlogged. We're going to call and inquire about an earlier interview date, or we may have to expedite. I don't know yet, but we'd really like to be together like RIGHT when he get's back from his tour. D:
