My AVR updated that they received my checklist response as of November 16, so it took one week for them to log it into their system.

*Sigh* I'm going to have to start looking for the NVC December 2009 Edition the way my timeline is going.....

hope all is well...

Never mind, think of it this way, you're still doing a lot better than many others :)

yes and that I am thankfull for! I know what is going to stall us is after the interview...Cairo is known for AP/AR afterwards.....

Fingers crossed it won't be for too long

I've just called NVC, and they've input the I-864 on the 14th, but the DS-3230 that I sent by email on the 5th hasn't been input yet, and the hardcopy that I sent registered etc seems to have been lost. It amazes me that a postcard from London to California takes three days, ordinary mail, and yet registered priority mail from London to New Hampshire seems to have disappeared into the ether - it's been nine days and no one knows where it is  Sorry, let me correct that, we know that it reached the US the next day, it's there that it got lost!!

It's just occured to me, if they can input the I-864 in three days, which is considerably more detailed than the DS-3230, why does it take four to six weeks to input the latter? :ranting:

Who knows! The processing times are no where near logical given that they only review the documents to make sure they conform.

so hold on, they have accepted your I864 within 3 days of receiving it? or did they just log it as received within 3 days?

I864 delivered November 2nd.....nvc logged it on November 5th

DS230 delivered November 6th.....nvc logged it on November 12th

Welcome to US Letter May 19th

Dunno - the woman, although polite, wasn't very helpful. She said it had been accepted. Right now I'm more concerned with my missing forms, original certificates, etc

I gave up on trying to understand this whole process when I was still awaiting my NOA2. Speaking of which, it seems like it happened so long ago..

Tell me about it. It's bad enough all the uncertainty, the 'queue jumping' (done by them, not fellow VJers of course), the long waits, etc, but one sort of takes it for granted that things will be delivered and that they won't get lost. Sorry, I'm just not in the best of moods today.

The same thing happened when David sent packet. It went from Scotland to New york over night but took another week to get to NH. Once they got the envelope it went to a mail room to be entered along with thousands of others. In the mean time we got a false rfe asking for the documents. I kept wanting to scream "open your damn mail!" but that would have not been reall helpful! They have a system and they do seem to get to stuff, eventually!

I had called for an answer on that myself. The lady I spoke with told me the envelope had been signed for but that does not mean they opened it!. When we adress them to a certain dept, they know what is inside so they wont open and enter it until the person working your case is at that step. It seems really screwy to me but as other people have mentioned there seems to be no rhyme or reason at USCIS or NVC but then that is true at RMV and IRS too. God help us if they take over health care.
