Believe it or not Joe, but I'm a fiscal conservative. But not necissarily in the sense that you or other insipid neocons like would think. I don't think we should be fighting wars of hegemony when we could spend that money on our own populace and infrastructure. I've posted this ad nauseum in posts, but you seem to either skip past them or ignore it altogether. Either way, your ignorance is neither my concern or my fault.

Where are you Libertarian, Joe?

Enough with the fluff pronouncements - substance please!

As I said, foreign policy. Us getting involved has usually been a failure. We need to worry about our own problems.

Taking money from one area, and spending it on something else is not fiscally conservative. To me it sounds like you're saying that - but maybe you can clarify.

Do you agree with all the spending the government is doing now?

I'll go further - I think every war the US has fought after WW2 has been unnecessary and counterproductive.

Perhaps you would be surprised to know that free market economics is actually a "liberal" thing.

I think that fits with what I've said for the most part.

In the raw sense of the word, yes. If you're talking political ideology, which is what the word has become associated with. No, it isn't.

Some of it yes, I do agree with it, in theory. However, in government, theory and practice are two completely different things. Yes, I do think that some of the banks needed assistance, but I think that should have been in the form of low or no interest loans, NOT unregulated grants with little to no oversight. There is so much that needs to be audited in our government before we can even begin to discuss reform it is frightening. One of my big pet peeves is the never ending sale of federal bonds to china.

My point about war spending is that it is wasted money. We have no moral grounds to be there. If we say we are fighting terrorism or Al-Qaida, then we should fight them. But taht is not in Iraq, and it is not even in Afghanistan. The terrorists are in the outskirts in Pakistan. But we cant' go there because they are technically our ally. So why are we wasting all these precious lives and money on an unteneble war? We can't go into Pakistan without risking another war, and we have limited capability if we just stay in Afghanistan.

Liberal economics is its own ideology. You can look it up if you're interested.

You are a lib. Your voting record doesn't matter. Its that you whole-heartedly support Obama's policies... Pussyfooting Afgh, socialized medicine, taxing the rich and corporations, cap and trade - you tow the line my friend.

I know you'd like to think you shut me down, but you didn't.

To say that you have selective memory would be a gift. I very clearly articulated why I voted for Obama & at no point have I ever "whole-heartedly support Obama's policies". To summarize what I said yesterday I feel that the Republican party is a poor imitation of what it was in the 80's & early 90's, replaced by a core of bitter, angry right wingers more focused on bashing Democrats than fixing the nation's issues. I voted for Obama because the Bush administration damn near drove this country off a cliff & I didn't think it would make sense to hand over the keys to another Republican.

Again after you cut out all the rhetoric your position (as usual) boils down to "because I said so". If that isn't shutting you down then nothing is.

I don't need to look it up. I know what it is. However, you seem to be somehow associating that with the Democrat party, and i'm not sure why. They are totally different things. You know what i'm talking about when i say Liberal. Stop trying to be silly.

Do you support TARP? Do you support Cap and Trade? Do you support Nationalized Healthcare? Do you support confiscatory taxes on the rich and corporations?

I'm not saying that at all. I'm saying you should be careful in your cowboy use of terminology because there is more to the ideas than the words you use to encapsulate them.

And if you're continuing to call me a liberal merely to associate me with the Democrat party (an LPR who has never registered anywhere with any US political party), well that's just silly.

I call you a liberal because thats your idealogy. Plain and simple. You've proven that. You may not be as liberal as some here, but a liberal just the same.

Only because you associate me with the Democrat party. I am not associated in any way shape or form with the Democrat party.

In fact, by the yardstick of proof you've offered (foreign policy) I could actually claim to be Libertarian ;)
